"The temperature read-out on the Rolex timing centre on the Le Mans Start and finish line read over 30 degrees as 45 cars passed under it to start the 73rd 25 Heures du Mans. One car didn’t make it onto the grid, the No 8 Dallara LMP – Nissan of Rollcentre Racing – it is stuck in the pit with an engine problem, while two cars missed the actual start with minor problems and started from pit-lane. The rest of the cars are all running, however, and they set off on the first lap with the two local favourites, the Pescarolo-Judds raced away towards the Dunlop Bridge and 24 hours of racing were under way."
