Just got back from my first LeMans, what a great experience! I am sure that the ringing in my ears will go one day in the near future. In the mean time it will serve as a reminder of the great time I had and the great job the North Yorkshire TVR team did in organising the event especially Bob the planner.

P.S Saw the thread re the speed traps on the way back, lucky for us we did not see any on the way back... (phew)

Me too mate. There were 6 Le Mans virgins in our group and we must have enjoyed it because we were making arrangements for next years when we were on the ferry coming back!

Fantastic weekend but got a bit too much sun.

The only downer for me was that I wasnt in my new car (S2 Exige) because I only got it 2 weeks ago and it wasnt run in. I saw a few on them over the weekend and everytime I wished I had mine with me. On the plus side I went in a mates Elise Sport 135 which was fantastic and didnt miss a beat.

Me Too. Started quite eventfully, was due to leave early Thurs for the Chunnel, but spent all Weds night on the bog with food poisoning maybe a plot by the missus to stop me going. However, managed to persuade her that I could drive all the way down there so ended up leaving Thurs lunchtime. Great Hoon down there with various other cars, including a brush with the Gendarmes (fortunately not me). Enjoyed Friday at Arnage etc and the Race was awesome. Can see that it takes a few Le Mans to get into the swing of things- So here's to next year

Food poisoning b4 you started, that is bad news I must say! Still nothing like a huge drive followed by shed loads of french lager and wine to kill of any bugs!

Missed Friday Night at Arnage, got a little carried away in LeMan after the drivers parade... came stumbling out of a jazz cafe at 1:30am... can you believe they refused my scottish mates request to play the proclaimers 500 miles

I know what you mean, already planning next years trip over but simply have to camp next year - can anyone make trip over and camp with pistonheads?

It was my first time too and it was out of this world - better than I expected and the memories and dents will be with me for a long time to come.

The drive, the campsite, the cars, the people, the weather - even that race thingy they had at the end of the week - it was all brilliant!
