After 1000 euros, you'd have thought he had learnt his lesson, but to follow it up with 750 euros, now thats sloppy

A Noble driver we met got slapped with a 750 Euro fine for having a radar detector on his screen. And they confiscated the device and stamped on it at the roadside! Oops...

We met a porsche driver who got 750 for 140 in a 110!!! I checked several times and it was 140 KPH NOT MPH! He was in the middle of a convoy as well - all moving at the same speed.

thats harsh! we were told by the gendarmes that it was based on fractions of the speed so 750euros for 30kph over the limit does not fit!

we got caught 205kph in a 110

took it a little easier on the way back but saw loads of people getting tickets written

We found some muppets in a van on the way back (I thought they used bikers with hair-dryers out there). The odd bit was that they didn't seem to have any support down the road.

They were also about 50 yards ahead of a fixed camera.

Monday, 11am, main road from Rouen to Dieppe, got done for 173km/h in a 110 zone (thought it was a 130).

Instant ban, passenger had to drive my 993tt the last 30km to the ferry. 750 Euro fine, on the spot, took us to the cash point after confiscating V5 and both passports. Got them back when we handed over the money. Got a receipt.

Shite init? But glad they didn't catch me 15km earlier, when i had been doing 280km/h (GPS verified).

F*cking hell VS - I got done for 169kph in a 130 zone just before the Calais toll gate and only got 90 Euros (+ receipt).

The cop did get a bit stroppy when I suggested that he and his colleagues where gonna pocket the money...

Met some Ferrari OC drivers in Mulsanne and allegedly one of the 360 drivers had his licence taken away and fined 3,000 Euros!!! for 145 mph... Blimey!

I wonder what they would have made of 195mph in a red SL65....ahem.

there was a story about a british guy who got caught doing 165mph on the autoroute, 750 Euro fine, license revoked and car confiscated

now, my french isn't the best but it sounded like they sent him to a british jail!?! it may have been the "british person to jail"...

A couple of Porsche drivers had their licences taken away from them whilst travelling down to Le Mans on the Friday. I believe 900 euro fines as well.
