You know those lovely stickers for the Le-Mans car parks, you know the ones that are a bugger to get off...

Well this year, fear not, a solution presented itself. I managed to crack my windscreen on the way home. Yeay, don't have to spend ages getting the damn thing off now.

Had the windscreen replaced yesterday.
"We had a hard time of it, but we managed to get your Le-Mans sticker onto the new windscreen without ripping it"....arrrrrrrgh.

What a perverse twist of fate.

The guy beside us had it elastic banded to the back of his sunvisor. We just peeled off the four corners and stuck it on.

They are dead easy to remove, run a sharp razor blade flat to the screen to get it off, then use a bit of kitchen roll and WD40 to get the glue residual off.

....or leave it on til next year, then simply rip it off and put the new one in the same place ....hence no problems with the glue marks!!

We just apply a small piece of clingfilm to the windscreen, then put the sticker on top of that. Takes about 2 seconds to remove.

What a good idea.

I just exposed only the ends of the sticky strips, minimising the clean up afterwards.

Me too!
Learnt my lesson though from a previous year when I foolishly used a kitchen scouring pad to remove that v stubborn adhesive.I was left with two horizontal skuff patches on my windscreen. Doh!

Cling film sounds good - or chuck the car in for a service at Fernhurst and they clean it off for you - top chaps!

Our friend with the Europa of Houx roundabout fame currently has about 4 or 5 different campsite stickers on his windscreen... wears them like badges of honour!

. . I think it aids Mr Europa driving style - a bit like putting blinkers on a horse! Can then fully focus on the round-about ahead!
