I think Le Mans offers great value as an event. Certainly far better than F1 events.
There are alternative options if that price increase makes the trip too much. Municipal campsite I know of 20 mins from the circuit at €14 per night.
Loads of options out there to make the event work for individuals. Especially if you do want a bit more comfort, there are much cheaper and better alternatives within close range than any of the on site ‘luxury’ offerings.
A combination of renewed popularity and trying to recover from Covid loses means price rises are inevitable. And too be fair, there is constant investment in the site. I think a whole new pit building / grandstand is still waiting to be done.

Le Mans still is great value for money, I agree with you guys. But it used to be GREAT value for money. I do do the whole thing, from testday onwards, so counted per day it still is as cheap as the proverbial chips, but a 40% rise in price is ridiculous in anyone's book. Well, maybe not in yours, but definitely in mine!

Yes, the ACO told members a week or so ago. Are you signed up for their email notifications?
I am, but the last time I looked, the camping tickets weren't showing on the website. I was trying to view the website on a phone yesterday and I could see the ticket prices but I wasn't sure if they were actually available tomorrow. Back to viewing on a laptop today which is much better for my aging eyes ! Thanks all vincegail said:

Personally I think it was inevitable after 2020 and 2021. After last year's sell out they know they can make a LOT of money this year. If I had a product like that, I think I'd be tempted to maximise my profit. 40% is a hell of a lot but luckily I can afford it. The price of campsites is interesting. Some sites have not been advertised as having electric, but it has been taken from the general supply, although this year they say it’s dangerous!
Other than Beausejoir the difference in price appears to be for the big screen and food stall. Not sure it’s worth it myself.

Where have you seen the ‘dangerous’ explanation?Other than Beausejoir the difference in price appears to be for the big screen and food stall. Not sure it’s worth it myself.

In previous years, we've tended to book Houx with electric. I see from the page on campsites that no sites are down as having electric this year. Any thoughts on this?
If we can't get electric, we may as well use Houx Annexe instead as it's a lot cheaper.
I'm just wondering if they mean it isnt electric for individual pitches. they put in a load of electric points in a couple of places at tetre rouge but they require a long cable and it's still listed as no electric. If we can't get electric, we may as well use Houx Annexe instead as it's a lot cheaper.
wrt the value. Our costs have crept up from a cheap lads trip staying at bsj and getting cheap ferries to sailing via brittainy ferries and staying on TR as we've got a little more experienced. It's quite expensive for 5 days but overall it's good value to me and the entrance ticket is still a bargain compared to many premiere sporting events. even the bands they get on a saturday would cost at least a third of the ticket price to see them

Shame I usually ask for dinner to be bought before shafting me Especially with them saying WITHOUT electric now on some sites
There's a simple answer Kev, if you feel that strongly and Le Mans isn't worth that much outlay to you, then you stay at home.... FredericRobinson said:

Hmm, just got to hope they haven’t done away with the hook ups they only installed in Tertre Rouge last year, and they’re just trying to eliminate any expectations people who haven’t been before have that they’ll have connections on their pitch like a ‘normal’ campsite.Don’t suppose we’ll know for sure before arriving, it makes a hell of a difference though for those of us who do the full 10 days.
