I have my tickets for 2024 but is it worth getting ACO membership to get access to the club house / bar etc? I'm camping , so could do with access to clear washrooms etc.

Yes, if you don't mind the queue. I was stood in line one day for almost an hour waiting to use the showers in the Clubhouse this year. The bar queues are a bit quicker but as they were built to take about 60 people not 600, the popularity saw the George Durrand Clubhouse with a queue down the stairs to the entrance doors. At one point they appeared to realise they might be in breach of their fire safety regulations and stopped letting members in until the queue had abated. I didn't see the other Clubhouse on the other side near Tetra Rouge, but I believe it's bigger, although even that still got very busy.

In fairness, the showers in BSJ were just as good as the George Durrand, except the Clubhouse ones were a bit more spacious. They certainly weren't any less used. The campsite queues seemed shorter too, especially if you got up before 08:00 when it seemed everyone else did.

ACO areas were oversubscribed last year (member plus up to 3 guests at E40 per person including member). This year only one guest at E52 so membership and E entries is E175 or so. (makes more sense if have discounts on GE and camping already).

Chappelle area better as quite a bit of space and shade (relatively) and screens etc and small discount on beer and food but still long queues for toilets. Good views trackside past Dunlop and a bank at end with views over fencing towards Esses and start of Tertre rouge.

Toilets at bottom of ACO stand good as little queues if you have seats that side but queues for food or beer ACO stand bad in race days.

Only really worth it if going be there at least most of Wednesday and Thursday too. Hopefully they will have sold less tickets for it and did come up as sold out yesterday.

For those wondering about the camping/grandstand availability for next year, have a listen to Brian from 1st Tickets speaking with the Radio Le Mans guys earlier in the week (starts at about 35 mins 45) https://www.radiolemans.co/2023/11/15/midweek-moto...

It appears 2024 will be equally oversubscribed for camping given the reduction in camping pitches as the ACO appear to have decided that Bleu Nord will be predominantly a car park again, albeit they have put some alternative areas in but whether the overall no. of pitches is questionable. The backdrop is that early booking/pre-registration is more important now than ever.

Ferry booked this morning. Alright sailing times also.

Nothing left to do now. Too early to start packing?!

Thank you for the information. I’m camping from Wednesday, with a bis Chappelle grandstand seat (that should be fun) . So it sounds like a worthwhile investment.

I am struggling to see the advantage of the ACO membership. I would have thought the majority of race goers will be members!

1st Tickets are sending out links to those who pre-registered. Looks like they have:
• General Admission tickets
• Camping spaces at the Beausejour, Clos Fleuri and Prairie campsites1
• Campervan parking at Expo/Rotunde
• Grandstand seats opposite the pits and the first bend2
• Parking at Expo and Panorama
• Parking for Arnage & Mulsanne viewing areas.

Many will have registered only to get first dibs on tickets. That doesn't give them the option to use all the facilities unless they buy the additional members area pass.

I'm just wondering what order they are sending them out in. I've been a customer now for many years and I've heard nothing more.

So you need to buy membership and then an additional pass? That is starting to add up. Any idea of cost? I couldn’t see any thing on the website.

The additional pass is €52. But I think I read somewhere that supplies are exhausted.

Edit - Although looking on my profile on the ACO membership site, it still seems to be available.

I bought mine when I got my ACO membership and I added a +1 yesterday. I was told you could add someone up until the race, but that was before demand took off. Does anyone know how you prove you have the additional access, or is it linked to your card ?

As an ACO member you get access to the members areas included. You can buy additional guest passes, although I think only a maximum of 2.
It’s linked to your account.

Yeah. If you sign in (on the same page as the tickets page - top right), go to your profile and it will show it. When you produce your card to sign in at the circuit, they will be able to see that you have bought the Club Area pass (and the one for any guest).

I'm not so sure about that. Otherwise there would be no point to the additional pass which gets you your wristband.

Depends.

You can buy a membership at €73 which does not include the use of the ACO areas.

Then there is the ‘receptive club member’ at an additional €52 bringing the total to €125.

I couldn’t get ACO stand, so I’ve forked out for two extra receptive passes for our group. We are just next to ACO stand, so short walk for nicer toilets etc.

Might also make more use of the enclosure on the inside next to Dunlop.

In years past it was included but then it became an extra for guests then an add on for members and now 50€ extra for all members. It is also very busy club house gets packed and La Chappel is first come first served so seating soon gets taken up.

Pleased I went for the extra receptive passes now. Was going to think about it, but even those are now showing as sold out.
