Apologies- hadn’t realised there were different “levels” of membership, some including access to facilities and others not.
Sounds somewhat familiar to another topic elsewhere

I had a look last night at my membership. I had an option to add the reception area to the membership for a guest. So that may be a route other than the sales site.

There’s probably an option to ‘upgrade’ membership online, so again may be other route other than sales site.

Though I would add, I personally don’t think these areas would make or break a weekend. I could survive without.

I guess it depends on how you do Le Mans. We have seats as usual in T17 which makes the Durand club access an essential really, plus it gives easy access to good regularly cleaned loos as well as access to cold drinks and food at better prices. As we're there for the whole week, we use it a lot and we'll probably spend a bit of time here and there down at La Chapelle as well. It's a once a year thing and €52 extra is far from make or break for me (us). We have two members with passes and two guests with passes as well. It's a bit of a no brainer for us.

We would normally be in T17 or 18. Messed up payment process unfortunately and got booted out. Only paid extra so the rest have some better toilet access after a short walk from Sommer.

You’d have the facilities in 17 and 18 anyway with the stand tickets. I love these stands just for the convenience. The food and drink set up is actually quite annoying I find, especially as they decided to put a bar at the top of the stairs instead of leaving the area clear or at least make a queue area away from the stairs.

The convenience of the toilets is what I use 17/18 for, especially for the rest of the group.

I personally wouldn’t bother paying extra to just use the Chapelle area.

I may rethink the two membership option for next year but the booking hassle is still there. What I’d really like is the option to double your membership under the one log in. ‘Member +’ or something. So you can log in and book up to four seats together at the same time.

ACO area access is becoming marginal and some may be disappointed if buying fir the 1st time and mainly trying to use facilities at race time.

It does help greatly over the week with acquisition and extraction of beer (small 1 euro discount on beer last year and a small discount on food plus a program and canvas bag when collect wristbands).

Toilet queues pretty bad most places - they really are taking the ****! Only mitigated by high beer prices!

Lots of the corporate/manufacturer VIP areas get GS seats - loads will be empty even at start and finish of the race as the public facilities near most of the GS’s are poor.

I think the logic is, the more expensive the beer is, the less you drink, and the less you require the facilities or the bushes.

It does seem that we've lost a lot to hospitality

The ACO have started mailing out hard copy tickets. I have a DHL notification to expect mine tomorrow.

First time ACO member (with the extra access) this year for me, 10th time of attending though. We will probably check out the facilities early on, as we are there from Wednesday, and maybe during the race on the offchance it isn't packed. We got some decent grandstand tickets though, not ACO unfortunately, so will probably spent most time there.

If anyone receives a hard copy of a Tertre Rouge camping ticket it’d be handy to know what it says about which day it’s opening

According to the LM web-site:

BEAUSÉJOUR, ÉPINETTES, HOUX and TERTRE ROUGE will be open from Test Day (9 June) until after the race on 16 June.

ARNAGE, GARAGE VERT, HOUX-ANNEXE, HOUX-ANNEXE CLUB, MULSANNE and HIPPODROME will be open from Tuesday 11 June until after the race on 16 June.

Hey one and all.

I had a good 9 year annual stint travelling to Le Mans. Then moved to Australia and am now wanting/ getting(!) to go again 10 years or so later.

Seemingly this year getting tickets is up there with Glastonbury tickets.

I'm after two pitches/ 2 cars. 5 people. General entry.

Used to stay in Karting long ago. Then we changed to Garage Vert, but that seemingly isn't available.

Previously (long ago) I used first tickets and I'm having a friend have a try for me today (UK time) but he's not too hopeful as he only just managed to get his. So I am wondering what else is out there as I'm out of the loop these days.

Where's best to check. I have stayed in Beausejour many years back when I first attended, but would like to be nearer the village, but I may have to take what I can get.

Any pointers would be grand.

Ta.

I fear you may be unlucky with 1st Tickets if the approach has only been made now. I've been a customer for many years and have just had my allocation confirmed. The word is that their allocation is pretty limited and is likely to be exhausted primarily by existing customers or those who registered months ago. Wishing you luck though. Your best bet is probably to keep an eye on the ACO's resale site. There is at least one full week ticket up on there right now.

You might want to try Motorsport Travel Desinations, they might have some availability.

Thanks for the reminder about the members area . . . just got a ticket for the wife (I'm a member - that's already paid extra for access). At least she can now have a comfortable st in the lead up to the race.

Try Just Tickets - big ticket retailer

Maybe BSJ or the two far out sites closer to Mulsanne might be available

Anyone have any idea if I could use a roof tent aswell as a tent as long as I was within the pitch size?
