Anyone booked with TD and still not had confirmation of their crossings yet?
We’ve been booking with them since 2013 and this has been the worst for communication ever.

I chased them yesterday and they finally confirmed we are on the Portsmouth-Caen crossing Thursday and Sunday evenings, although no details as yet on cabins etc... They have shunted us into the Hippodrome campsite rather than our preferred option of Houx Annexe.

The quality of service from them has unfortunately deteriorated quite significantly since they were bought out by Motorsport Tickets in 2020

Yep i sent them an email last night too
Replied and said they are in process of sending them out.
Balance supposed to be paid in March, bet they will want that promptly haha
Communication has never been this bad, concerning really isn’t it?

They were great under the previous ownership, I booked with them for nearly 20 years, won’t even consider them now.

Agree!
We like the Porsche curves site so no option other than them!
We might have to rethink for next year though!

Same for us. st show these days. Our group has used them for all our trips for 15 years and this has been the worst experience booking however it’s been bad since they were taken over. Especially when the prices have gone through the roof too.

I had loads of back and forth with them this week as our balance/breakdown was incorrect.

Supposedly the crossing details will be out in the next “3-6 weeks”!

Anyone else in the Event Tents?

Bearing in mind they've been doing it for years, why are they taking so much more time than everyone else? I confess I'd be getting pretty sweaty by now if I was still waiting on my order...

Bit concerning considering balance is due early next month.
Glad we aren’t the only ones waiting though.

I questioned them yesterday about crossing conf and was told we will get conf when the crossings are booked. They haven’t been booked yet! I have questioned why and am awaiting a response. Not impressed!

WTF I was under the impression they had booked the crossings up months ago.
I’ll be fuming if we don’t get the crossing and cabin that we requested seeing as they have had our deposit for MONTHS!

I have had an email from them today saying they are confirming the details of the crossings over the next 3-6 weeks...(!) ... but they did say in a vague way earlier this week that we are on Caen crossings. I think its safe to say this is the last time I will be booking through them!

They said the same to me in an email last week.
Not really happy to pay my balance until we know we are on the crossing we want!
So annoying as we like the Porsche curves site for location. That’s also gone downhill since the takeover though.
Guess we’ll be looking elsewhere for next year :-/

It’d be nice if the Porsche Curves viewing bank was returned to being a public area as we were promised, not that there is any chance.

Not a chance.

It's TD's main selling point for Porsche Curves, you go with them you access the banking. Also you know your stuff at Porsche Curves is pretty safe as it is a private camp site.

If the banking was open to the public I wouldn't be paying to camp with TD at Porsche Curves, I'd probably try Lycian events on the inside of the track.

Never going to happen, but when it was a public area the security of the campsite wasn’t affected, access was round the outside of the fenced off area, we were told the bank would be out of bounds for one year only while the earth settled after the bank was moved back, but obviously that wasn’t honoured

Agree. Never going to happen whilst TD are operating there.

Can’t see they ever happening.
Even before the takeover they moved all the bar and toilets/shower area to the bottom gravel. They would lose loads of camping spaces if they have to fence it all off again!

I guess it depends on TD continuing to operate. I've never been with them but from what I read, it sounds as though the service has deteriorated somewhat - at least the communication side of things. I guess as long as they keep handing over the cash to the ACO then the operation will continue.
