Here we have the POI's that maybe useful for Le Mans. A post comes up every year so I thought I'd post them up this year.
I use them for my TomTom satnav but I think they'll work on other makes!?

How to:

Once downloaded, double click and open the .zip file (this should open in windows without any extra software).

Plug in your TomTom satnav and let it connect to the computer. I have to tell mine that I want it to connect to the computer and not just charge.

Then go to 'My Computer' and load up your TomTom. The next folder to open up is the one where you map is. Mines called 'Western_Europe'.

Drag and drop all of the files from the downloaded folder that you want.

Once completed, disconnect your TomTom. Load it up. 'Change Preferences', 'Show POI on map', then place a tick in the box of the POI's you want to be shown on the map.

You can then tell the TomTom to navigate to the POI instead of a town, favourite or place.

http://homepage.ntlworld.com/rednut05/Le%20Mans%20... This one is for the POI's for the campsites/ parking. Also, from memory, it has the local super markets, ticket collect office etc on there too.

http://homepage.ntlworld.com/rednut05/Le%20Mans%20... This one is a selection of speed cameras in France. I downloaded this today and it was updated from the 1st. Should be useful for the drive down and back. Never used this but it should be pretty good. Saying that don't rely on it (and blame me!) but it could be a useful heads up.

Happy travelling.

My computer wont open any of those for some reason. Could someone who can open them provide me with the relevant information for getting to Beausejour campsite, like a road name, coordinates etc or failing that just a postcode/area code for the circuit entrance itself ? Thanks smile

It's a .zip file. windows should be able to open without an extra software needed. Maybe they only work on a TomTom?

Just added a 'How to' if it helps anyone. This is based on my TomTom One. Will be similar to what ever TomTom.

So how do you get it to navigate to these POI's?

When I select 'navigate to POI', it then gives me the option of 'near you' 'in city' or 'near home'. How do you select, say Karting Nord, for example?

Thanks Mr Gingerbread Man, Sir.

Nice wagon by the way. Tom and I should be going up with Rick and meeting you on the M25. Think we'll meet Mart there as well as he has to pass it. Rick, you and Mart need to pick the services and a time. See you Wednesday thumbup

Most of the questions have been answered but if you have any problems just open Google Earth. The cursor will give you the exact coordinates (latitude/longitude) of where you are planning to go.
