Some great pictures here!
I didnt take many but one i had to take was of a Merc SL, Porsche Ferrari 430 and a nissan 350z insisted in remaining behind a citroen saxo for 10 miles along a road running beside Ohama Beach area on Sunday!
They were very much sunday drivers! and i found it hard to believe they made the ferry.

Classic Le Mans
Thursday
We drove to St Leonards and had a big meal with everyone. Well almost everyone – I got Simon and Tina’s tickets and also tickets for SJW+1 (!). I had arranged to meet Simon ‘in a bar in Arnage at noonish on Friday’…
Friday
was the bar we found. Called Simon – no reply – so we watched the cars go by…
Eventually Simon and Tina found us and we went to the circuit.
More cars:
7 GT40s including the only (prototype convertible)

Hair cut?
We call them Top Trumps: seems they have another name…
Saturday
Wow: t’was busy on Saturday
A little bit of politics scrawled on the wall in a tunnel under the pits
More succinctly put as:

Small people in a small 7
Outside our hotel on Saturday night. Of the dozen Bentleys this was one of two that raced at Le Mans.

After an all-nighter

Saw it in the tunnel and explained to people around me that he was the who oversaw the oppression of motorists by introducing scameras througout France.
Anyone else spot the DB4 Zagato and 250 California out in the club car parks........ Message to the Jersey based owners of these two cars, thanks for bringing them out to play, allowing idiots like us the chance to see them. The fact you brought the cars down to the classic and parked them with your mates vehicles instead of requesting special treatment speaks a great deal.

O/T Derin. Burriana can't be held responsible for his deterioration over the weekend, he was mixing with some very dodgy people on saturday.

First time I met Burriana was Wednesday evening at Cambridge services before we travelled down in convoy with Vette 1978 on Thursday . All I can say is , from when the photo of him emerging from his tent was taken to him seeming completely normal was only minutes - thats some recovery rate !!
