The tickets have arrived from the ACO and we are now frantically putting together all the ticket and information packs.

We hope to start posting these out by Friday 15th May, so they should be with you by the early part of next week.

Well, we arrived back in the UK at 03:00hrs on Tuesday, all the hired equipement has been returned and I've finally had a decent nights sleep.

So that we can look to improve on the PH/1st Tickets campsite, please could you provide us with feedback on the facilities, location and staff.

Many thanks

Hi Brian,

Firstly I would like to say thanks for everything (and your helpful suggestions of where to shove an oversized tent!).

Our experience of the whole set up from booking tickets to leaving the site on monday was very positive. Of course it would have been nice to have had more showers and toilets, but chatting to folks in the Q is part of the fun, and the showers were for me always hot (a first at LM). The site felt very secure and all the pitches were clearly laid out (if a little small for our stupidly large tent, have I apologised enough yet?). We did not really use the bar so I cannot comment on it but the security was good (very important for me with Alfie being there), I also think the location, whilst 'outside' was pretty good for circuit access, although if they could extend the tramway it would make getting into town a little easier.

As for suggestions, well a filter coffee machine in the bar would be good... smile

I'm not sure if we'll be back next year but if we are you will get a call.

cheers, and thanks again..

Yeah, coffee would be awesome, although it would have to be better quality coffee than you can get inside the track!

I took a LM first timer with me and he was very happy with the whole setup. The line for showers was nothing compared to the line for the public ones! I went outside the peak times and never waited for more than one person to finish.

The talks with the teams on Friday morning exceeded both of our expectations. Very interesting stuff and they were all quite candid, or funny, or both! smile

Looked like a good set-up you had!!

You may have spotted me staring at the Focus RS on numerous occasions redface I would have pepped up and introduced myself, buy you all looked set into conversation at the time! Then I saw you driving out at different times but was stuck with neighbours so couldn't say anything!

Will be braver next year thumbupbiggrin

That's a shame, you should have said hello, we shown plenty of people around the cars over the weekend, and always had a beer on offer.

Maybe next time thumbup

what a fantastic weekend ! biggrin

Due to not getting my holiday request in early enough at work, I was part of the group that had to attempt pitching their tent at 3am on the Saturday. Apologies to our neighbours for the disturbance!

My whole experience with 1st Tickets was a good one - Helpful with our late booking needs, well organised site, good facilities, great value – cant fault it.

Everyone we spoke to on the site was friendly and the many beers went down nicely.

Will definitely book with you again (tho maybe a bit earlier in future!). Next time Im going to be brave and take the kitcar rather than the comfy one!

Cheers and many thanks!
Dan

He is not lying about the beer either, nor the cars. Shame I cannot fit the children in the back of the DB9 !

Thanks for the comments so far, much appreciated.

We will certainly be looking at how we can add to the facilities in the marquee/bar area. The most popular suggestion at Le Mans (and afterwards) is some basic provisions such as bread, milk etc.

We are also discussing with the circuit the size and location of the site for 2010, including the Le Mans Classic.

If you have pictures of the site and the marquee, we would certainly like to hear from you too.

Thanks to Brian at 1st tickets, also thanks to his Lads/Staff.
Second year with 1st tickets, and as like last year it was first class.
Looking through the fence at the lines of people outside the showers & toilets, made me appreciate how good the site was. I am no camper, but reading about people wanting bread, coffee etc......do as we did. We bought a bread maker & coffee machine with us.If I'm in a tent I need my home comforts.

Thanks again Brian.....see you in 2010.
