Come on confess, we had one in our group! Who had to pay the big one?

That me me and my freind then in a porsche 997.. 172kph apparently...

Although the pure pleasure in handing over €750 euro's that had individually been wiped on our backsides was priceless.

EUR 750 for 172 KPH?

I thought the fine was only EUR 80 if you get zapped 'only' 50 kph above the limit?

I got EUR 80 for 178 KPH two years ago - a bargain in my book.

Out of 4 cars 3 got fined, 1 got away. x2 €90 clocked at 147 in 110kph and x1 €135 and 1 month ban clocked at 167.

NOt that much police presence this year, apart from the POLITZI Beemer who tried to pull us over about 30 minutes after we'd been done by Les Flics.

Saw a black BMW 6 series and a white 3 series get pulled by 4 Gendarmes on bikes. They went past me pretty fast, I'm guessing 100 - 110mph. Pulled out to 'tag along' and immediately saw the flashing lights in the distance in my mirror. Pulled back in sharpish and was overjoyed when they came past me, eventually escorting the BMWs off the autoroute. Was somewhere between Rouen and Calais.

I saw the same thing, but from the scary viewpoint of having two of the police riders pull out into the inside lane 30 yards in front of me while I was pootling along at 120kph - I hit the brakes pretty sharpish and petrified the rest of the convoy. No surprise the beemers got pulled; they were really belting along in nose-to-tail formation, but I wouldn't have liked to explain to the police how we'd killed two of their motorcyclists if they'd left it any later to pull out.

I was in the silver Tuscan with stripes, in a TVR heavy convoy - were you in the navy Cerb who tagged along before getting bored with our low speeds? :-)

174kph, got done in convoy with 2 other ph'ers on the n338. We still have no idea where the camera was, they wouldn't give us evidence of the offence either which is fishy, any lawyers here?? but we'd waited nearly an hour to press the loud pedal, which made it all the more painful. bds, still... what an amazing weekend. Pictures to come soon!!

Purely out of interest, but what would one expect for 270kph? When I got a little held up, I reckon I'd have needed to do that kind of speed to catch up with my buddies.

They were quite remarkably disgruntled with my 194kph a couple of years back, so I'd have thought the gendarme who saw my 300kph pass from the wrong side of the dual carriageway was somewhat apoplectic biggrin

Changed routes but forgot to back it off enough, thus the 194 ticket.

I stopped at one of the services on the way down where a purple Lambo had €750 extracted for clocking up 196Mph (315Kph) and his license taken from him, lucky his Mrs was able to drive from there on.

I only managed a minor 187Mph (300Kph)but no ticket here, I was driving the James Bond Aston Martin Vanish S, also seen in black at speeds of 90 and lower.

One of our guys picked up a ticket at 110Mph (177Kph) and a €90 fine that was broken by 5 of us. I think he may have turned a profit on the experience. But the bike coppers, and the processing coppers at the off ramp were all ok and posed for a few funny photos.

p.s - If any police are reading this site, the above is no admission of guilt but an over exaggeration of an over active mind and the speed was nearer 65!
