be nice if one of BiB could pop over to that forum and get the guys details.

The story of the phone being by his tent one morning is a bit handy, especially as he just happens to want to own an iphone.

Blatant theft.

By way of an update:
I wrote to the DVLA asking them to provide owner details or forward my letter on to them, unsupringly they wouldn't do either.
So dropped the kit off at my local police station who were able to ID the registered keeper straight away ( lives in the Brighton area) but were still unsure about just giving the bloke a ring.... Data protection and all that!
Still I've done all I can and hopefully the chap will get his toys back eventually.
Cheers,
Dave
I was contacted by the police because a member of the public wanted to return somthing to me and only had my car reg as identification so it can work. I was very grateful.
Nice to see there are still decent people like yourself around

Yup - contacting the police can help.

Mate of mine lost his camera (didn't know at the time) and someone had handed it in to their local police station, but I got a letter from the Inverness police (I'm in Kent) asking if I knew who may have lost a camera in their neck of the woods since there was a picture on the camera with my car reg visible. Could only be one person so put them in touch.

Nice when it works out like that. Honesty still is the best policy.
