Im so gutted the M135i and GolfR deals are gone. I was so close to getting both but didnt really need them at the time. Now I actually need one they are both gone!
Having a bit of a feeling that I should have gone for the Golf R aftering seeing one this morning, but couldn't justify the extra £140 a month when I only need the car for the weekend. The value of this deal was too good to pass up. It's actually £189.99 with the style pack.

FYI ive had a proper quote for this based on 10k a 6.9ppm excess of £227. May pull the trigger on this one. Supposedly a cracking little car and £227 is pretty damn cheap I think.
They also quoted me £244 for the DSG version but from reading online, the DSG isnt actually available on the 184 so this was perhaps an error in their quote. It would appear the DSG is only available in the lower models.
Yes I have just had the quote through for the DSG, £235 a month £1,410 down and 2-3weeks delivery. The only point to mention this deal is for people with cash allowance or Directors (which I am) so no problem there. Still may go manual to keep it closer to my £200 max a month. They also quoted me £244 for the DSG version but from reading online, the DSG isnt actually available on the 184 so this was perhaps an error in their quote. Still can't get my head round the 'it's a 4 door version of a 2 door version of a 4 door car' though.

Hmm they quoted me 10wks for a dsg as it would have to be a factory order.....Do people generally get Gap insurance on lease cars? It only just cropped up in my mind and having read into it, seems like it may be advisable?

How about this http://www.gateway2lease.com/z_mercedes_a-class_a2... does that seem a good deal? Need to find a car sharpish.
Anyone have an opinion on this deal? I like the look of it but not sure it's the best I can get for my money..It all comes down to your own personal requirements.

Also can I put my private plate on a lease car?
Yes, with admin feesJust remember to transfer it off before it goes back.
Does anyone know how thorough the lease companies are with checking creditials? The one I was going to go through have now said that only people with cash allowances or company directors can proceed.
I have a salary with the car allowance deemed to be included but it is not specifically identified nor official; the salary was negotiated to a level I was happy with and could get a car within. Would a letter on headed paper from the company stating that it is included be enough do you think? Otherwise looks like a dead end unfortunately.

I've been told that VW,BMW, Merc and Audi are very particular about the difference between Business Users and Personal Leases nowadays. Basically if you're a Director of the company or your payslip shows tax paid on a car allowance then you're fine, if not it's back to the showroom and silly retail prices

Why do they care so much? How do you work out that these amazing lease deals asking for 6 payments upfront, a £200 finance fee and being restricted to 8000 per year to own the car for just two years are any good? You'd need to pay a good several hundred in charges if you do an average mileage.
I ask because the Ford Focus ST3 which seems popular on this thread is on drive the deal for £15815. It's offered at 4.9% interest on PCP over 24 months for 12,000 miles and has a GFV of £10,000 (Ford website). This would result in monthly payments under £200.
Deposit of £2,500 is needed though but there'd have to be some kind of economic apocalypse to lose this deposit come trade in - unlike the lease deal where it's gone for good.
I don't like all this ignorance with lease 'deals' with the high deposits and low mileages which are clearly just a ploy to lower the headline monthly price. Where are the actual good x 3 deposit lease deals? They seem to have gone for good.
