It drives me mad how expensive cars are here (NL) compared to the UK. That'd would be about €2000 per month to lease here. frown
wow have they been smoking crack? Actually don't answer that smile

€24,000 per year? hard drugs must have been involved at some point.

I'm also sceptical because that rate would buy the car outright after three years.

An E220 is about €15k less.

The Dutch price list suggests monthly leasing starting at €800 per month although that could be for a low-spec petrol manual version.

You're welcome.
For an EX Auto model on a 3 + 23, 10k £348 is very good value indeed.

If I was in the market for a 4 x 4, that might have just had my business. Very good cars, nice to drive. Slow and uneconomical engine mind; but lovely place to be.
Just filled in some paperwork for this, absolute stonking deal. Metallic was FOC too

Crumbs, that's an amazing deal!
It was exactly this sort of thing that I was looking for before buying a used E class.

I still reckon I can get in and out of a used one for less than the lease cost, but it's close and scuppered if anything goes wrong on mine.
Time will tell.

Thanks PH, i knew all those hours spent reading here would pay off somehow! I'd never have run into this bargain if i hadn't saw it on here. Whoever spotted and shared the R deal, have a pint on me...

List price for a 2WD E350 diesel Wagon with the AMG packet here in NL is €75k (give or take), I havent added any options so I cant be 100% sure the spec is as good as the example listed on the UK deal.

Its very difficult to find online info / prices for expensive cars here on lease deals, as most companies only want to discuss on the telephone.

However - I did manage to find one online price for an E350 Avantgarde (no AMG packet). 24M, 15,000km per year = €1,700 per month. Road tax is NOT included. Thats another €185 per month, thank you very much.

So - thats €1885 per month for a car without the AMG options.

Wasnt too far out, was I wink

oh and PS.

Want to lease it as a business user? Its somewhat cheaper, but still about €1350 per month in the equivalent of BiK.
Wow. Presumably there is a lot of purchase tax being absorbed across the duration of the deal

Someone doubting the Netherlands price of €2000 a month, just look at the German Merc site, an E220cdi specced to UK standard spec. is over €50,000.

Cars in the UK are fking cheap at the moment compared to Europe.

We are pretty close to US pricing now when taxes are included, and some 30-40% cheaper than Europe.

... and yet the base Focus is €13k in Germany.

At €48k plus deposit for a two-year lease, why would you not just buy a base model or a two-year-old car outright?

I agree that we do get some very good deals on prestige stuff.

So will we see Europeans coming to the UK and buying cars to back to Europe?

I did this in reverse with a Focus in 2001 when the € was at 1.60 to the pound and saved myself about £6k IIRC.

Doubt it, because cars are expensive in NL mainly because of tax.

Without the tax, the gap would be non-existent and maybe in the other direction.

There are plenty of LHD importers within Europe.

€33k gets you into a new E200 CDi manual with naff-all kit in Germany from an import broker. That's slightly less than the DriveTheDeal price for a much better equipped E220 CDi auto.

With the C63 soon to be replaced, does the panel think that this might lead to some good lease deals on stock cars? Maybe direct from Mercedes? Or is the reverse likely, with the car becoming more sought after (although it's hardly a rare car).
