All of the above, plus many of the best deals will be on cars that are hard to shift (so lack desirable options) or have just been built for stock (so no speculative high specifications), driving the relative cost of optioned cars up even further.
Apart from some huge exceptions such as the Golf R which was neither. Blown2CV said:

Apart from some huge exceptions such as the Golf R which was neither. There are cracking deals on stock cars which the dealer/manufacture will chuck money at to get rid of.
There are cars with stupidly good residuals, hence why it's good even as a factory order, such as the Golf R.
Or there is a manufacture wanting to push a certain car and chuck money at it, even factory orders.

Some real numbers for the E350 deal (6+23+VAT) I've signed up for:Base car price £43k, monthly cost £283.
Adding the Premium Plus option package increased the monthly cost to £287, a £4 peer month addition for a £3500 cost option. Any options could have been added.
The car has a December build slot in order to incorporate the new 9 speed box, it isn't sitting in a field somewhere as an overstocked model.
£0.12 per mile excess, 10,000 miles per annum deal.
The numbers make no sense to me.

Great deal!
Is this a saloon or estate? I presume it is a diesel?
Got a link to the offer please?
I am a ltd company owner so ok if it is a business deal.

What's 300 odd? Is it 301 or 399 plus VAT? A bit meaningless to simply post 300 odd.
No it isn't - it means it isn't 400 odd or 500 odd or 600 odd. Anything starting with a 3 is a good deal for this car in my view. If you read all the posts you'd see I've posted an example and also explained that I thought it was a business rate.RYH64E said:

It's because of the bullet proof residuals of the E350. Yes, definitely it's the residuals. Someone on The internet told me.Base car price £43k, monthly cost £283.

The deal has been widely linked earlier in the thread (where I first saw it, thanks to whoever posted), my car (Estate) has come from MB direct but Tilsun have the same deal here http://www.tilsungroup.com/mercedes-e+class-e350-b...Great deal!

But why not be specific? "£300 odd" is very vague and could be anything from £301 to £459 ( inc vat) that's a HUGE variation in cash and percentage terms. I'm genuinely not having a go at you personally but I like to see apples compared with apples not cherry(picked) deals.Quoting a business deal is fine but without saying its only available to powerfully built directors is erroneous, if there's a personal deal then that may also have stipulations.
But he was referring to the link that had been posted on numerous occasions over the last few pages.

Ok I'll admit I've skimmed through this thread somewhat lol. We are looking at PCP options on smaller cars such as the ecoboost Fiesta, a Corsa, Seat Ibiza. We have visited dealers though, and none seem to be as good as the ones linked here. Can the companies linked on this thread be trusted? I take it they deliver? And why can't a main dealer offer these prices if they are effectively cutting out the middle man.
Of all deals I've seen the ecoboost Fiesta red edition seems to be fantastic.

The Focus ST3 deal on this site looks to be decent too. Not that much more than a Fiesta ST3.
