Shouldn't depend. On a lease it should be the funder as the registered keeper.
I've had many business contract hire cars over the years, on some I've had the V5 and been shown as the registered keeper, on others I've not had the V5 at all. On some cars I've had to arrange the tax disc myself, on others the tax disc just arrives in the post (all for non-maintained cars). I'm pretty sure that Mercedes send you the V5 with your company listed as the registered keeper but there doesn't seem to be any hard and fast rule.

Merc run 'operating leases' where you are on the V5 but you have to pay the road tax after year 1.

I stand corrected then. My experience of lease companies is they have always been the registered keeper and had the V5. Every year I go abroad a few times, and need to get one of those vehicle on hire forms from the lease company as I don;t have the V5.

Likewise it's a good excuse for them to charge admin fee's for speeding tickets, parking tickets etc.

Just the first one I saw, as I'm on the mobile and can't filter the S from the As.... Time, as in yours wink may yield better results, but it does look as if they're available to order....

Without doubt, small German saloons have never sold very well here, I like it though and at the right price would have one.

Any decent Range Rover Sport deals out there? I know nothing about leasing and have one other question. Can I put my plate on a lease car?

If we are still talking about the A3 saloon I know someone who is waiting something like 8-12 months for one... that probably helps too.

Generally, yes. Our Q3 is through Arval and they were fine with it, albeit with a small admin charge.

RR Sport comes to over £800 a month which is definitely NOT a good deal.

If you'd consider a Mercedes ML they can be had for half that through several companies.

Cheers for the replies. I'll have to check out an ML, but 800 quid is a bit steep. I could probably buy one for that.
