Hi guys wondering you could help. Looking for a 4x4 / SUV for around 250 PCM for a family member.

Seen the outlander PHEV's and they seem to tick a lot of boxes byut slightly out of budget (The 30 miles on electric charge would mean free commuting effectively though)

Juke's are out as She doesn't like them.

Any other suggestions?

I'm wondering what the cheapest possible family sized car (focus or similar would be over two years and 8000 miles per year.

Nissan Leaf perhaps?

http://www.whatcar.com/car-leasing/deals/nissan/le...

£147.08+VAT with £882.48 initial payment

Average £213.27 over 24 months with £14 per month on electiricty?
Nice deal, is it odd that it costs more per month over 36 months than 24?

That's £5118.38 plus electricity, which is 4800 kWh for 20,000 miles, around £576 Total = £5700

Auris 1.4D-4D
https://www.leasingoptions.uk/business/toyota/auri...
£100 + VAT on 6+23
= £3480

Real mpg 58: http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/realmpg/toyota/auris-2...

20,000 miles /58 = 345 gallons @ £6/gallon = £2070

total = £5,550

So the Auris is a little cheaper.

Any good deals on cheaper auto cars, under £180 pm really, cheaper if poss. It's only a car for the school run and potting about 8k miles tops.. Something with higher seating position would good, but if something like golfs/focus was very cheap then I'd put up with them. Seems all the deals are on manuals unless you go premium..
Renault Zoe. Loving ours. Within budget. Auto. Sat nav. High seating position. Zero tax. Free servicing. Goes nicely. Looks good. comfy and quiet........ Oh and electric.

Just coming to the end of that period where I can't look at prices in case I find a better deal than the one I signed for...

Arriving Wednesday

Mercedes E Class Estate E220 BlueTEC SE Tip Auto, Obsidian black

3 + 23, personal lease, 15k per annum, RFL included, delivered

£436.79 including VAT + £330 incl VAT arrangement fee

= £11,686.54 over the two year term

Not the car I would have chosen myself, but it is chosen by SWMBO and this is the best deal I could find on it when it needed to be ordered....

Be gentle if you spot it cheaper!
See my post a few above, are you sure you can't cancel?

too late to cancel now

can't wait that long

can't convince her to go for the 350 (she is coming out of an ML 350 that has, to be fair, been pretty disappointing engine wise all round)

is that including VAT?

there are definitely deals coming through on the E class (estate) - even Merc's own website has a 1+35 10k miles offer at £379 + VAT and that is, of course, always the very top price

Not sure how these fit with the height criteria, but a couple of decent options given the low mileage:-

If you have access to a charger perhaps a Nissan Leaf would suit?

£0 deposit then £189/month based upon 6k/year. I would imagine deal could be adjusted to fit your mileage. Appears over monthly budget, but zero deposit helps, and if you factor in fuel savings? Strictly speaking it's a PCP rather than lease, details here.

http://www.lookers.co.uk/nissan/offers/new-car-off...

Auris Hybrid in decent Icon+ Spec ( Sat-Nav, heated seats, DAB etc). £180/month on 6+23 basis:-

https://www.leasingoptions.uk/personal/toyota/auri...
Nissan leaf deal looked amazing, but turns out, there is a £70+ battery lease on top, making it £259+ a month

The advert does mention battery lease, but the pricing is based upon the list price of the "non-flex" batteries included model. I think it's a sloppy copy n' paste from a Flex advert?

Compare against Bristol Streets prices.

http://www.bristolstreet.co.uk/new-car-deals/nissa...

Only difference appears to be that Lookers are throwing in an additional £1,000 deposit in place of the customers.

An Acenta on Flex is only £83/month. So I believe the Lookers price is correct and includes batteries.

Quite tempted at those prices. Would need to be an Acenta or Tekna to get the more efficent heat-pump heater.

Depends on your own insurance cost and contract length, and whether that's the payment on top of a deposit, or the average cost. Also which trim level.

Well i may go look at a test drive then
I compared it with the standard deals from nissan which came out about the same for the flex one, if this is not the flex model so no extra cost to lease the battery i may be tempted, i have been want to test drive an electric car for ages, this might be the excuse i've needed

what is the thing to do when you have seen a deal from one of these lease firms and want a test drive but they hundreds of miles away? contact them and get them to try and arrange a test drive with your local dealer? or book a test drive at your local dealer yourself and then see if they can match the deal?

Let us know how you get on please - very interested in one of these myself.

if I can find something around the £200 cpm mark including batteries with a 10k mileage allowance - ideally with no customer deposit smile

Our work scheme (nhs) doesn't need a deposit. I would reckon on insurance being around £400 ish. You literally just have £350 deducted from your net monthly wage and that's it (includes bik also).

Same trim as the one linked too.

The trick is making sure you're comparing it with the best (cheapest) available from one of the multiple online lease companies.

It's worth considering anyway, assuming you can comfortably seat 3 small kids on the back of an outlander.

My partner needs to get shot of her Honda Jazz and get a cheap lease - we have 2 kids and a small car is all she needs for short journeys - she won't do more than 6k pa.

We have my car for main trips so something cheap and cheerful (with air con) is all that's needed.

Is a £100 odd pm deal out there - without a massive upfront cost? (A 4 years deal is ideal too)

There's a few Fiat 500 deals around if you want to spend a little more.

There's 3+47 deals at £115-£125, plus a 6+23 at £99.95. Sorry on iPhone so can't provide link, but plenty on www.contracthireandleasing.com

Adding it all up, I think the alpha contracts one is slightly cheaper. Not sure if it would need new tyres in two years,

Also mileage allowances/excess fees
