Was in ford today, and had a quote of something very similar off the bat without any negotiation - from reading around it seems there is plenty of wiggle room for a better deal to be had.
With me basically not paying a deposit? (£250 quid).. Too late now as I pick her up 23rd. 2 lads I know paying around 260ish with chunkier deposits. Feeling a bit sick now haha. Boke!

On the look out for an enticing BMW Personal Lease - 2-3 years, 15-20K miles per year 6 months max advance payment. Cars in the running, 520d M Sport Auto, 120/125d M Sport Auto (basic spec is not good), 4series M Sport diesel auto (GC or Coupe), maybe 3 series M Sport.

This one looks good: 6+23 on a 420d M Sport Auto (leather, xenons, nav, heated seats, cruise etc all standard). £2040 down and £340/month (all inc VAT), 15K. Neva Kew leasing.

Far too expensive, they were £259 a couple of months back, the E350 was under £300.

Were the fabled Golf R deals that everyone on the internet signed up for only 'good' if you opted for a low annual mileage - 10k PA or less?

I'm just wondering 'if' the Estate version will have such attractive rates when it is launched, but I'd need at least 15-20k PA.

I pay £401 per month for my E Class cabriolet, thought I'd got a decent deal when I had it delivered in September. Now they are less than £300!!! Same company (Freedom) and all other terms. Now that is a cheap deal i'd say.

Just found the Swap A Lease website and wondered if anyone knew of any more similar websites?

What risks are there in taking on an existing lease?
Hidden Damage
Poorly repaired damage that falls apart after a few k
Intermittent faults
Finding out its been clocked
Massively limited choice.
Excess Mileage
All of the above applies to 2nd hand car purchases so not especially worrying?

I agree tyo an extent.

Taking over a lease however makes you liable for the condition of the car at the end and you are at the mercy of the car company then. It can be very costly.

In addition, if something comes up once you've taken a lease over the car can't be sold.

Anyone taking over a lease is taking a huge leap of faith and for that should look to pay no more than 50% of the monthly i'd say.

Cheers I had not considered that selling the car on is not an option unlike buying a second hand car. I also agree that 50% of monthly is what i would be aiming at.

The reason it has sparked my interest ,is that you can find cars with below average mileage, leaving the purchaser of the lease an unusually large 'miles per month' left on the lease. If the car checked out, this could be a bargain.

I know the golden rule when looking for a lease is not to go for a specific car but- I really want an XF with a petrol engine and have had the following quote:

XF 3.0 V6 Supercharged Premium Luxury with heated steering wheel, Meridian 380 W premium audio, metallic paint, and ivory leather 6+ 35 £484.63 - does that sound reasonable?

Just gone for the same with another company, exactly the same deal but with no doc fee. Car to be delivered in February. Getting it in 'deep impact blue' - looks almost like an ST, if you squint a bit.
Rivervale? Went for impact blue as well. Only had silver and black as other colour options.
Yes. I've had plenty of black cars in the past so fancied something different, and not silver.

I've been quoted mid Feb for delivery, so plenty of time to sell the wifes aging MINI Cooper.

The 1 series is enticing, especially with the 125d engine, but the standard spec is not particularly good. I know that nav, leather, heated seats, xenons, cruise etc is not really vital, but to drive a car for 2 years and 30K odd miles, it is nice to have something with a decent spec. I am actually waiting for a 125d quote (Premium leasing) with auto, xenons and driver comfort pack, 15k pa, but I am yet to hear back.

I would be interested to find out what they quote. I received a quote today from Tilsun for a 125d M Sport manual without any extras (15k) which came in at £1629 deposit and 23 months at £271 making it £328pcm. As per my previous post I think I will give it a miss and go for a used Z4.
