I've just ordered a golf gtd here:

About £245 per month incl vat averaged over 24 months.
Just looked at this but if you took it to 10k miles with maintenance it's £371 inc vat so only really good if you can do 5k miles unless the excess mileage charge is low.

Depends on the deal, many of the really cheap ones are put through as business leases in some shape or form. There are plenty of deals out there that don't need business mileage and sites which state in the listing if you need to do business miles to qualify e.g. nationwide vehicle contracts, swiftlease.

If you're looking at a specific car then it's quite likely that all the brokers you've spoken to are using the same funder, and it's the funder who sets the rules as to who qualifies for finance.
It's not as if business mileage is ever checked - who would do it?

As long as it includes VAT don't worry about it.

It's 7.2p per mile inc VAT. So £72 per 1,000 miles.

Ok. I'll investigate further. smile

How would they check it if they wanted to anyway?

You'll have to provide proof with most funders before they'll accept the proposal.

Easiest thing is to check your contract of employment, if it states in there that you'll get any business miles reimbursed you should be fine.

My experience of business lease deals been that lease co. don't care about business or private mileage, but simply whether you are self-employed, you can still chose whether to lease through your ltd co. or privately.

OK, thought I'd ask hee rather than trawl through the thread. If I was an IT contractor and director of my own Ltd Co would I qualify for a business lease deal? Does it matter whether I pay the payments from my personal cash or does the business have to pay it?
Might have new contract soon and don't fancy 100 miles per day in a Jimny or an MX5.......

My current lease car is paid privately but I just had to prove I had my own ltd co.

That seems quite a good rate really. In fact I've noticed all VWFS lease and PCP deals are generally 6p per mile + VAT excess. Interestingly if you look at the value difference on CAP between a 20k and 50k miles 2013 GTD, its about £2k, and VW's excess charge for that period (i.e. 30k over contract) would be £2160.

Brings me back to a question I think that was raised earlier in the thread, it seems almost too good to be true that you can massively go over the contract miles without a big penalty smile

Excess mileage figures are often staggered, and increase as the miles rack up.

I'm happy with 7.2p. It'll be paid from the 45p paid by company that caused me to do extra miles. This must have been the easiest least hassle and probably best value deal I've done. Touch wood it'll go this way till delivery.

What's the lead time for delivery? Also what colour options are included in that price?

Anyone seen any good deals on an Evoque 5 door Pure Tech, pref auto? Looks ideal for wife. LR quote was ridiculous as to be expected.

If anyone is interested, I have just ordered an Audi A6 Avant 2.0TDI Black Edition S Tronic with metallic on a personal contract hire 3+35. Not the cheapest car, but a lot for the money. £1392 down and £464/month including VAT and that was for 15000 miles pa, non maintained. This is via a main dealer and is cheaper than a comparable PCP quote, with 21-22% discount off list price - £40700. Beauty of a moan dealer is that there is no admin charge.

I did a fair bit of searching for a medium sized estate , BMW 5 Touring deals were few and far between and the Merc C Class C220 Premium Plus AMG Line was broadly similar in price to the A6.

I to tried the main dealer after finding the best online price for a 6/23 Mercedes c200 (petrol) AMG Line estate on personal lease. They said they would have to discount the car by 16 percent to achieve the price and they did.
Do your homework then just before pulling the trigger give your dealer a try, sometimes it pays off
