You missed the numerous paint defect photos above then. You're fking right it's meant to be about deals, you don't need to tell me that. All of this st really is not my doing. Still, suggesting we get on topic is tedious and self-satisfied apparently, and as this thread is now about anything, I definitely won't be shutting the fk up.
No I didn't. A one off post like that is fine. It's your tiresome and repetitious whining that's the problem. If you haven't got the message that your thread monitor attitude is unwelcome from my posts and several others (like RYH64E, BrabusMog, olly22n, dakingz) you are never going to.

Anyway that's the last I'm saying on this matter because I'm getting to be hypocritical now.

Probably, hence the Off Topic.

Going to try a Skoda Octavia in my search for deals on big estates; the deals seem ok. Like the look of the Laurin + Klemen and the VRs but want to check the ride on both.

6+35 = £250 on the 2l diesel.

My colleague leased one of these recently. The AMG Sport version I think. She likes it, seems a nice place to be, but the diesel rattle was rather strange in a two seater sports car on the couple of occasions I had a lift in it - it was around town though so may settle at speed - and she says it does feel pretty quick yet returns good economy. I'd advise you test drive before ordering if possible - it is a great price though.

The Superb estate looks a similar price. It's a far nicer place to be on standard UK third world road surfaces..

The Superb is also a much bigger car inside. Not quite sure how they do it, but theres more space inside than with the A6.

G2L have the Golf 2.0 TSi R on offer for £219.99+ VAT per month on 6+23 5k miles p.a.

Not sure how that compares with previous deals, but seems pretty cheap to me.

Ahh - I am getting mixed up - the Octavia is more of an A4 like platform, the Superb is an A6-like platform?

I'm not sure what actual platform they use, IIRC, Octavia is a Golf and from the size of it the Superb must be the A6 base. It really is leagues bigger though. Rear seat space is huge and the boot is significantly bigger. I almost bought a Superb over my A6, but I found the seats too uncomfortable on long journeys.

Superb is a previous-gen Golf/Passat, stretched to within an inch of its life.

Octavia is MQB based and a new one will be along very shortly, also MQB-based.

Hello everyone

Looking for a 7 seater once I hand in my current Yeti (early September).

With the Touran being replaced later this year (and the S-Max as well, I believe?) do you think there would be good deals available soon? A fully loaded model at a discounted price?

My preference currently is for the Touran as it seems a bit smaller than the S-Max. Any other contenders (in that size) that I should consider? Ideally I don't step up to the C4GP/Galaxy size cars.

I may also have a look at the Prius+, although I'm a bit worried about comfort/noise as my experience with the first gen Prius was that it was very tinny..

Thanks,
Wout

C4 Grand Picasso?
10kpa 3+18 £224

I've just bought an old SMax and when looking at the options I discounted the Touran as it was painfully underpowered.

The 2.0TDi Touran has 140bhp or 170bhp. We run a 140bhp version and it's plenty fast and responsive enough. Perhaps not if you want to charge about or do track days, but that not really what you want to do in this type of car.

It'll comfortably do 50mpg as well, unless you're caning it on the motorway or only doing city driving.

I'd hope that there would be some deals on the run out model, but it can't be certain. The Touran has rarely featured in good lease deals, especially not fully loaded 2.0 models.

>> Award for dullest post <<

I'm looking for the cheapest way to get a lease car on the road for the Mother. She wants peace of mind of a new car and the monthly costs suit her well.

Her specs are:
-10k per year
-18 to 24 months
-Half of which motorway miles (sitting at 65mph in the left lane)

Currently the best deal I can find is the Citroen C1 - http://www.freedomcontracts.com/Citroen-C1-3dr-1.0...

Is there anything else cheaper out there? Any car and brand considered.

How does VW Tiguan Match 140 Manual on a 6+23 @ £202 sound? 10k miles - works out £252.50 which isn't too bad.

I however think I'll be going with a MINI Cooper D Chili and Media Pack @ £187 for 18 months with no deposit on Alpha Drive for the OH.
