I'd be willing to place a deposit upfront, yes. I've seen a few posts quoting 3+23 etc. £2000 is quite a heavy deposit. So I'd shy away from one as large as that, although I am tempted by this! You can get a golf gti for 250 a month if you put 2k deposit down....

Central works out at £5,712 for a 5k p.a. and that excludes the admin fee, I think, so your deal looks pretty good.
It might still be worth adjusting the mileage and paying per mile at the end, and it is certainly worth confirming the excess mileage charge.

Mmm you can get them a bit quicker than that, it really depends on quite a few different factors such as spec and the supplying dealer.

If you terminate a VW lease early, you get a discount of 4% PA (I believe) on the outstanding payments in lieu of interest, but you also get the mileage allowance prorated.
Basically, if you are seriously considering early termination, go HP or PCP.
