One's a small petrol car, the other a mid-sized diesel wink

To be honest, this thread is more focused on finding the best financial deals, rather than the best car smile

Excellent for the 500! Not to everyone's taste but the missus likes hers.

My sums (may be wrong) make it £2700 for 2 years of motoring (16k miles over the term) inclusive of VAT and fees...

I'm looking at BMW 330d deals just now, don't really care about options just looking for the best price.

Gateway2Lease have one:

£1974 plus 23 x £323.

Is anyone aware of any better deals?

Ok. Need help deciding. Fiesta ST-3 or Leon 2.0TDI FR tech pack?

Drove FR 1.4 petrol on Saturday and liked it. Not managed to drive a fiesta at all despite my best efforts (people don't like letting you test drive cars).

Both the same money. CANT DECIDE!
I have an ST-3.

Anything you want to ask, which may help you decide?

Around town and using the cars potential I never drop below 30mpg. I've travelled with three/four people for 100 miles and it still pulls nicely and everyone is reasonably comfortable for a small car.

Handles well, but the ride is a bit firm on some of our worse roads, a bit like a BMW on run flats.

Has all the options that I could want. Only thing I miss are xenons.

You need to add in annual miles Which model it is and what spec it is otherwise its not possible to compare against other deals or not

This looks like a 6+23 setup so effectively £390 PCM - no idea if this is with or without VAT.

Looks reasonable - the Pro nav is miles superior it has to be said.

Are the annual miles enough for your requirements?

Mileage is enough, I've got 2 cars so haven't done more than 7000 per year in my current BMW for the last 5 years.

I believe that particular scheme ends on 12th Apr 2015.
Nope - the funding is still there but it is reduced, the price of charger installations have reduced as there is now thousands of plug-in cars compared to a year or so ago.

Depending on how complex the install is you'll probably have to contribute a couple hundred quid now instead of it being 'free' - but once it's in that will do any cars you have in future (as long as you pick your unit carefully so that the connection types don't matter...)

I grabbed one of the last of the Leaf deals - no brainer at the cost of the PCP deals.

Lease deals will be harder to find as the finance houses are waiting for residuals to firm up on 100% electric vehicles, but manufacturers are keen to promote them so the best deals will continue to be dealer led for the next 18 months...

The big fleet buyers like the plug-in hybrids though as they are seen to be less of a leap into the dark.

No chance... even at 5k miles you wouldn't get that.

Have been looking at Golf R's this week, have tried to get quotes from G2L and Carleasing-Online with no luck (G2L called back but never supplied the quote, I tried chasing but i'm tired of that now.)

Does anyone else know of any decent brokers doing Golf R deals? (I know I may have missed the boat a little, but they still seem good value)

I saw someone offering a couple of cancelled Golf R orders last week - probably won't be a great deal though - I will try and find the link.

Anyone seen any good 2-3 year lease deals on a Lexus CT200H SE or CT200H Advance? Ideally a 3 x 35 under £200+VAT pm for an SE or advance. A basic diesel Merc A180 or C-class is also a possibility.

Thanks

I had a couple of offers from Car Leasing Made Simple (Daniel), but went with something else, worth a call.

Just got offered a VW Golf GTD 9 + 23 for £210 a month 8kpa inc VAT which seemed a decent deal as excess mileage was only 7ppm?

This was at a main VW Chester dealer was told could get the car in 4 - 6 weeks.

Drove quite nicely but driving position seemed a bit naff as the seat seemed far too high even on the lowest setting seemed worse that on my old 182 which put me off the car a bit...

Nissan Leaf on a PCP anyone? Probably a great deal for Londoners. £99 a month and less that 3x upfront, BUT you have to add on £80 battery lease per month, and the price of having a charge point fitted at home.

I do 14 miles a day most days so would suit me once fuel costs considered as long as I could use my wife's car for the odd longer work journeys, but as we currently have no off-road parking it's not possible. frown House is on the market though. smile

http://www.nissanretail.co.uk/cars/leaf/new/visia/...
There were some cracking deals around this month, cheapest was £129 + £129/month for the Visia+ including battery, I got an Acenta for £150+ £154/month:

That's £7268 for a £27k car. Doesn't look especially good value - just a regular price IMHO.
Does it have to be a Golf?
