Thanks wemorgan.

Looking at the Golf R, I understand the DSG has a 6 month waiting list, if I was to go the manual is this about as cheap as it gets?

https://www.contracthireandleasing.com/car-leasing...

9+23 8k Miles p/a
Initial Payment: £1,943.91
Additional Fees: £199 EXC VAT
£215.99 Per Month, EXC VAT

Thanks, yes I saw those but I'm not really after an Estate, doesn't look quite as good and I don't need the extra space though I see it's receiving great reviews. I'd probably go a manual hatch before choosing an Estate.

Anyone found good deals on a new GTi with 3 door doing about 8k miles and the smallest deposit possible? I imagine the R is still better value but more curious about the GTi.

Cheapest I've seen is this GTI deal, not sure if its good/bad but it is 5 door & 15k miles per year and comes with PP.

It's actually faster round the Ring in Estate form than Hatchback....

Cheers Tony, I imagine that is likely the best deal available at the minute.

It's still £40 more than the R and both manual, surely you'd choose the R if you only need 8k miles.

Looks like a great deal. Wonder if £59.99 is inclusive of VAT?

Still around £3000 overall even if need to add vat. Adds £12 a month so £72. Not really that bad compared to the fiesta St deals.

Ordinarily yes I would, but a 5 door in red with those alloys just doesn't float my boat. I had a fully loaded MkV R32 and don't know how much I want the new R in above guise. I'dprobably wait and get a blue 3 door in a couple years time when the lease deals start ending.

This STD 2 with nav deal doesn't seem too bad.
Shame they look a bit of a mess. Can you damage limitate by choosing a particular colour?

That deal's also from Central.

You can also have £129.99 + VAT on a 1+17.

That's actually cheaper all in, and if it is written off you've only lost one month's deposit if you have gap insurance.
