any good zoe/leaf lease deals? all the leaf ones are 300+ and can't see a single Zoe on lease anywhere...
It will be 5-8k miles a year to replace car no.2 in the family for short trips and odd 45mile jaunt.
Thinking might have to go with a PCP to get a good deal
Sadly the market is still very afraid of EV residuals when it comes to batteries, so good deals are few and far between. It will be 5-8k miles a year to replace car no.2 in the family for short trips and odd 45mile jaunt.

Companies like BMW can't make the i3 quick enough, so they're not going to bother selling them cheap. Renault/Nissan however are showly starting to bring the market around given they now have decent data backup on reliability/battery life etc.
So I hear there will be some astounding deals coming soon from Renault specifically.

£5000+VAT, so £6000. And yes - you have to give it back...sadly nobody offering £30k+ brand new cars for £6k!
What i meant was, is there an option to keep it after the 2yr period.Lease company offered it to him at a very low price, he wanted something bigger but was able to offer it to me. Lease company was aware of this and I paid them direct.
Probably slightly different to a personal lease but some companies may do it.
Think the lease company was Lex.

Mine was a company car, my company, my car. It was a car with good residuals at the time, a TT-S, and they wanted full market value for it, which was fair enough but certainly not a bargain. The lease company did well on that deal, they took over £23k in lease payments and the car only depreciated about £10k over the lease period.Lease company offered it to him at a very low price, he wanted something bigger but was able to offer it to me. If it's PCH, it could be impossible to buy out the car unless it's bought by VAT registered company. That's what I was told by Mercedes when I had PCH with them.
All of MB's TV ads featuring monthly payments have 'no purchase option' across the bottom of the screen.RYH64E said:

Our U.S. Tiguan lease contract had an agreed final value that we were guaranteed to have the option to purchase at. As a result we leased for 3 years at $270 a month then paid $15.5k to buy it. Because of the low mileage at 5k similar cars were going for $21k. The big difference though was tax. If I had bout the car new I'd pay tax on the full value. Buying it 3 years old meant I only paid it on the $15.5k. (In the U.S. You pay tax on all second hand cars even private sales)
In the UK, I've been told it's that reason (tax) that prevents leasing companies selling car directly to the person leasing them.VWFS page says you can't buy the car yourself, but there's a form to fill in and anyone else can buy it. My brother tried this with the Gold he had and the price they got back was what you'd expect full forecourt retail to be.

Any particularly good deals on either Touareg or Grand Cherokee? Best Touareg I can see is CVL £2400 deposit + [23x288/£6624] + £180 fees = 9204 over 2 years @ 8000 miles [vat incl]
http://www.centralukvehicleleasing.co.uk/vehicle/c...
Yes. That's the cheapest Touareg lease I've seen in months - with the caveat that it's just 8k pa and the prices rocket up if you change it to 10k.http://www.centralukvehicleleasing.co.uk/vehicle/c...
The man maths seem to come out at £5,200 pa. Wow. That's about the same as a recent RR Evoque deal. Bit confused by what CVL say the RRP is. I have it down as £48k OTR.
8k though, that wouldn't work for me
HELP!
Been trying all day to come up with a solution to this dilemma with my accountant:
A private individual has leased a VW but due to personal circumstances needs to get rid of the car, I am ready to have the lease transferred over to me however VWFS only transfer leases to Private Limited Companies.
This would trigger a benefit in kind tax, I already lease a Mercedes but through my sole trader business which avoids this kind of tax.
I have spoken to my accountant and he advised to get the car as a sole trader or personal individual to avoid the hassle.
So does anybody have any suggestions, whether or not there is a way around the BIK tax, or should I move on?
Thanks

I was considering the same, also on a Golf and was going to do it through my ltd company but showing all the payments as a directors loan. You could also set the DD payments to come out of your personal account and then the accounts would have no reflection of this situation. Then effectively you're using the LTD company to facilitate the lease.Been trying all day to come up with a solution to this dilemma with my accountant:

Technically HMRC may take the view that it is a company car and should be taxed as such but as long as none of the payments were tax deductions you could argue your case. Plus it's only one car, not a fleet for the whole family or for staff.
The issue I had was insuring it. If the lease goes to a Ltd co. then does the ltd co. have to be the policyholder?
Guys looking for some help/inspiration please.
Been going round in circles looking for a 2 year lease for the Mrs.
Tiguan: great deal been to look at one she feels car is too large!
Fiesta Red Edition: been to see one (only had the Black Edition) but doesn't like Red cars and the Black is too Halfords at the front.
Vauxhall Corsa VXR (I thought this would be the one) apparently these are old prices? Started to quote silly figures as new car comes with "On Star" which I'm not fussed about.
£179 then 24 monthlies £179 but this a Red car and prices are not current anymore - annoying to say the least!
http://www.pentagon-group.co.uk/offers/new-car/new...
Best they can do is a stock car White, 18's & Carbon Pack £239 x 24 + £239 deposit £5,975. Or less if you qually for the partners discount.
I'm looking for something for the Mrs that comes in around £4,500 - £5,000 over the 2 years that I don't mind driving from time to time.
As mentioned going round in flipping circles so if anyone has any thoughts I'd love to hear them.
Cheers

Be realistic - that's highly unlikely. Especially as you already know that the quoted cost on the CVL website increases steeply if you go from 8000mpa to 10000mpa. But if you think they're mugs, why don't YOU give them a call? If it WAS the case... every one of us on this thread would have signed deals for 5,000 miles and we'd hand them back with 50,000 on the clock.

My wife tested a Tiguan and we're very glad she didn't pick one! Terrible poverty spec car (nearing end of life surely) and terrible dealership experience too. Been going round in circles looking for a 2 year lease for the Mrs.
How about a Seat or a MINI? I would just get her behind the wheel for more test drives until she finds something she likes

Anyone taken delivery of their 208gti prestige from the deals end of May, early June yet?
Yes, ordered 1st week in June and received first week in August.Great car, it has the 30th model engine (205/300) so plenty of torque. It does tend to snake a little under heavy braking, is it just bedding in?
Also the reviews mostly complain about the steering wheel obscuring the instruments, unless you're really short this isn't the case, I'm only 5' 10" and it's fine.

Why would he call if he's not after one though and who's saying they're mugs? VWFS excess mileage charge is 6ppm plus vat up to 100k I believe.....so perfectly realistic.
Thanks Duff for replying before me - I follow this page enough o know 6ppm excess charge is not a rarity - and as Duff says I am not getting one so dont really give a st if its 6ppm or 66ppm, its one phone call the potentially leaser has to make, surely worth that bit of effort to ask their excess mileage charge. BMW is notable high, not sure I have read the same about VW
