I got my ST3 through smartlease last year, apart from the initial quote I never dealt with them and got all docs through from the actual leasing company and never heard from smart lease again!
Edit: Mine wasn't an estate but was 3months upfront and £209 month!! 2 Year deal, 8k year!
Well, this is £3k down and £170 with factory privacy glass, 24 months and 8000miles pa - I'm assuming thats good?. I'm more interested in the damage clauses - did you get paper work through the lease company so that you could view the wear and tear policy? Sounds about £25 a month too expensive to me. They were doing them for around £145 a month on 3k deposit so shop around.unreal57 said:

Google 'BVRLA fair wear and tear guidelines' and you'll see them. They are the same for every leasing company, some are just stricter as to what they'll charge you for than others.Fast Bug said:

Mercedes can be a pain in the arse, and I've heard Porsche charge for the most ridiculous things ever.unreal57 said:

Can't remember will have to look at it again but if I remember they just refer to the standard that all lease companies now use which is the fair wear and tear guidelines! i.e don't hand it back badly damaged etc but stone chips and the like are expected! On handover you go over the car with the delivery driver so if there is anything wrong on delivery you can point it out then!
Wouldn't worry too much to be honest!
That deals a couple k more than mine but there isn't as great deals as there was ayear ago (mines petrol too) encase yours is the TDCI?!
I'm looking to lease a pick up on a personal hire contract, problem is I'm stuck for choice.
I'm considering a Nissan Navara, Ford Ranger, Isuzu D max or a VW Amorak
I'm thinking 36 month contract,it needs to be able to go off road and tow a horse trailer.
Which pick up's the best and can anyone recommend a leasing company?
Thanks Paul

Not that I've driven any, but I have fairly extensively looked into pick ups for my work and I think the rangers the one to get. That and the izuzu both tow 3.5t and afaik are the only ones which do.I'm considering a Nissan Navara, Ford Ranger, Isuzu D max or a VW Amorak

Friend is looking for a decent deal on a Mercedes E220 AMG NIGHT EDITION 4DR SALOON, WHITE OR BLACK
UNDER £400 P/M INC THE VAT
MAX £1100.00 UPFRONT PAYMENT
PERSONAL LEASE
2 YEAR DEAL WITH 15,000 PER YEAR MILEAGE.
He can get a Grey one but really wants White but would take Black.
Best I found with the mileage was nearly £400 a month. Anything better?
If you can get it for sub £400 month in vat on a 3+23 deal, I'd say take it as it looks pretty cheap to me. UNDER £400 P/M INC THE VAT
MAX £1100.00 UPFRONT PAYMENT
PERSONAL LEASE
2 YEAR DEAL WITH 15,000 PER YEAR MILEAGE.

But that's half the miles and 6 payments less upfront than MissChief was looking at

Am I right in assuming that a lot of the deals on this thread are from brokers and not the actual lenders. I.e freedom contracts, Applied leasing etc. If so what difference does it make to go with a broker rather than an actual leasing firm?
I'm just about to sign up to a broker and interested to know if there is a reason there deal seems quite cheap?!

The brokers usually deal with finance companies that offer better deals than the manufacturers own finance companies through bulk buying and such like. I have just ordered a car through vehicle savers and the service has been excellent and cheaper by £100 over competitors.

About £193.48+VAT for 9+23 10k (for the standard car) seems like a good rate at the moment.I need some help.

I didn't know they were different providers - I always thought they were the same deals, just structured differently. VWFS excess mileage on Golf R Estate is 6p per mile, for example.Vow Golf R Estate DSG
