I had one as a hire car a few weeks ago when I was in Holland on business. Black on black, which wasn't a great combination IMO, prefer the more striking combinations myself. No idea what size engine it had, just that it was petrol and reasonably peppy. Not bad to drive either. The trip before that I was given a Dacia Duster and I much preferred the Citroen.
Knock yourself out... smile

I've arranged a test drive in one on Sunday. Will see what they are like.
I read the WHat car review which says the car is pretty good, but my concern is a rubbery gear change, and much more worrying the seats are potentially uncomfortable and the steering wheel does not adjust for reach - I have to do the occasional long journey for work and I can't stand an uncomfy car.
Ah, could be a game changer then as I have a back injury and am quite tall. I'll see how I get on with the test drive. smile

The Tucson? It's the ix35 replacement, ie. mid-sized crossover, not a "big" one - that's the Santa Fe.
Ahh ok, not seen one in the flesh yet, guess it's Cashcow sized then, still do for me. TBH when I'm in the Elise everything looks fooking massivelaugh

I had my VW Polo GTi quote back from Gateway2lease.

The finance is with Hitachi, which means 14.04ppm excess for the first 10%, so not as good as with a VWFS quote. Also means VW dealers may not be able to offer the same deal.

It doesn't say what the excess is for anything over 10%.......
Hi Emeye - that's exactly the same as the Qashqai I got for my wife recently. Also hitachi, also gateway2lease.

Morning,

Looking for a hot hatch as a little run about for a couple years and wanting to keep the cost right down...

Looking at 24months, 5k PA. Overall price to be £5k or less for the 24months or I'd pay more if the car was worth it. (Deposit amount make me no different as its being paid from cash sat in the bank.)

Discovered these Polo GTI and Golf GTI deals on G2L a couple days back - was going to pop into my local stealer today to see what they're like.

Is there anything else out there? Ideally I'm looking for a petrol motor around the 200hp mark (or more obviously).

Cheers

I'm in the same boat! I want something fun for two years but cheap! I've had a bad experience of VAG stuff before but the Golf deal is almost too good to overlook.

Yes completely, we have a new Range Rover coming next month to ship the new baby around, but I want a cheap to get into work - without it being completely boring!

Morning all,

I have just been offered from Research Garage Abarth a 595 Turismo with special paint on a 1 + 11 PCH with 10,000 miles for £199 a month.

It's on stock vehicles for delivery for end of the quarter.

Although I will need to get some voucher to apply for the deal however NHS staff and teachers can easily obtain apparently.

Can you expand that a bit please? With family members in the NHS, Teaching and the Civil Service I've often seen deals aimed at them (Vauxhall push them a lot) but nothing that couldn't be easily beaten.

I was just told that I would need to apply for a group sales voucher and was given these as examples of people who could obtain them.

I am guessing a similar type of thing to the Vauxhall deals you have mentioned.

Octavia VRS estate deal on Selectcontracts - 10k pa

9+23 @ £214.99 per month on 2yr contract (£1900 deposit)

https://www.selectcontracts.co.uk/skoda-octavia-es...
Probably worth noting that it’s £300 extra for metallic, which is usually thrown in for free with the Simpsons deals, so the monthly payment rises to £228 compared to £199 if you go like for like, so paying the mileage excess to cover an extra 2,000 miles seems like a no brainer to me. I just hope some of these deals are still around when I have to change cars in Feb next year. I quite fancy a VRS estate, or maybe even a Scout for similar money but with the higher specification package.
Just ordered an Octavia VRS Estate for the other half from Gateway2Lease. As someone mentioned, they are still advertising a deal on stock vehicles which they no longer have.

We're paying £218 on a 6+23 (180 fee), all inc of VAT, 8k pa. This includes metallic paint and maintenance. Factory order so 12-14 weeks.

Non-maintained was about £8 less, and solid paint was only about £2 less for some reason, so thought they were both worth adding.

Fiat deal is available via British Cycling membership and therefore open to anybody. Memebership is about £15/£20 per year. ]

Golf GTI seems a good deal, rare to see them cheap as its normally the GTD and R offered discounted through lease deals

Got to say, had I not just ordered an R I'd have jumped at that GTI deal. Room to put a few options on it and it still be good value.

Morning all,

Been following this thread with interest for a couple of weeks but not jumped on to any of the deals yet.

Looking for either a Fiesta Zetec S or a Corsa VXR (or anything along those lines) for around £150 a month, 10k miles per year. Any decent deals around at the moment? I've seen a VXR could of been had for £149 up front and £149 per month not long ago which looks a cracking deal, but unfortunately expired now and I can't see anything close to that.

Thanks.

I went in to the BMW garage yesterday and pretty much fell in love with the 3 Series after a test drive!

The figures seem quite high though on a PCP deal.

£4000 deposit
£350 per month
48 month contract
8000 miles

The car is a 320d auto with M Sport Plus Pack which has upgraded wheels, brakes and sound system..

I've had a quick look at leasing deals and they appear to be more attractive.

Egon Car Leasing have a 320d M Sport on a 9+35 deal £262 per month Inc VAT.

Am I right in thinking that I should go down a lease route if I want a new 3 Series rather than PCP with BMW? Any advice welcome guys.

That's like asking should my favourite colour be red or blue?

Do you want to have the option to own it or not?

To be honest if you're buying what is standard lease company/company car fare then you'd be better of not throwing away your deposit on a PCP.
Of course BMW will shepherd you down the PCP route as they get more commish!
