There was a bit of chat about Q4 pricing being announced today, any new deals appeared that anyone has picked up on?

First time poster, longtime lurker looking for help.

Looking to pull the trigger on my first lease and I'm after a golf GTI, Leon Cupra 280 5dr or similar. Preference would be 3 upfront and 5k miles if excess mileage isn't too high (expect to do about 6,7k pa)

Smart lease are doing the cupra 280 3+23 5k at £262pm http://www.smartlease.co.uk/seat-leon-cupra-5-car-...

Also a 3+35 8k deal available same car at £254
http://www.whatcar.com/car-leasing/car-leasing/dea...

Can't find anything for a Golf GTI for similar money and don't want to wait 6 months.

Thoughts welcome
Some dude Mike.cottrill@contracthireacar.co.uk / 0161 431 1986 posted some Golf deals on the R forum the other day with December delivery.

Volkswagen Golf Diesel Hatchback 2.0 TDI GTD 5dr [NAV]
Tornado Red or Pure White
9+23,
8k MPA
£212.92Inc VAT

Volkswagen Golf Hatchback 2.0 TSI GTI 5dr [Nav]
Tornado Red Or Pure White
9+23
8k MPA
£218.98 Inc. VAT

Volkswagen Golf Hatchback 2.0 TSI R 5dr
Tornado Red or Pure White
9+23
8k MPA
£232.92 Inc. VAT

Cupra 280 3 x 23 = £6812
GTI 9 x 23 = £6976.

Might be worth a call?

Also just about to pull the trigger on my first lease deal, just a quick question are the handback 'horror' stories scattered around the internet justified, or are they mostly reasonable as long as you don't hand the car back a complete state?

I'm looking to sign up to a 10k per year deal but will prob be doing around 12k per year (only 5p excess mileage) so I'm expecting a bill of approx £200 but worried any minor bit of cosmetic damage will be picked up on and an extortionate bill will be sent. The company I'm ordering from (Wessex Fleet) are BVRLA registered.

A lot of it is down to who carries out the inspection. I've been picked up on things I wouldn't have considered and seen things I knew were severely out of spec ignored.

You can always challenge this though and anecdotally I've heard people getting major concessions on the initial bill that way if the assessor has been overly strict.

Any good deals on any quick estate cars? Needs to be auto and able to fit a large dog in the boot. Up to around £450 a month on a 24 month contract, cheers.

Cheers - I'm sure if there is anything obvious which needs work on I will get a smart repair before handing it back, other than that a good clean and hopefully they'll be fair!

Of course Ill share if anyone is interested as I have in the past just don't post the details on here as I've been asked not to promote publicly its the same contact who sorted my car.
fair enough, but seems strange that a lease company/broker/dealer doesn't want any publicity

This is exactly the reason they're scared it will effect future higher margin deals which is fair enough.

This looks like a good deal for an S-Max.

2.0 TDCi 150 Titanium

10,000 miles p.a.

£234 per month on a 3 + 35 = £247/month average over 3 years. (All inc. VAT)

Its amazing how many times I've come across this, phone about a deal only to find it was a "mistake".

I'm currently looking for a genuine "blow your socks off" deal, hopefully more Q4 deals to come that'll have something suitable. Keep the deals coming guys....

Leon Cupra 280 5dr

2400 then 178.24pm inc vat 240 doc fee( I uusually manage to get these halved or waived)

6740 all in. on 5k miles but better to take this deal and pay excess if youare gonna go over rather than take a 10k deal - usually always works out cheaper.

kraken deal!!!

Always get repairs done yourself, they'll charge you a higher cost + an admin fee on top and not get any work done on it before chucking it in the auction.

To be fair to them, they've already changed it to say 9 + 23.
