Many thanks to Fast Bug for sorting out a great deal on a C300 h AMG line premium plus. Delivery expected end of March. He did everything he said he was going to do, always responded quickly to emails, basically the complete opposite of what you usually get from car dealers.

Has anyone found any good deals on options?
eg if you add £600 for metallic paint can you get say £300 back at the end as the car is worth that bit more?
Never happens. Cost of options is always spread over the term so you be better off leasing a higher spec standard car than adding options.eg if you add £600 for metallic paint can you get say £300 back at the end as the car is worth that bit more?
Re. Paint. I haven't tested the theory, but one broker told me that for some brands metallic is included FOC by the manufacturer but the brokers charge it as an option. Might be a negotiation point on some deals. (IIRC this comment may have been specific to Lexus).

I got a quote on a Volvo XC60 R design & the solid red paint that was free was £12 per month more than the metallic,
Out of interest what have you been quoted.I'm in two minds about going down the A4 route or spending a little more and getting into an XC60 R design Lux Nav. The Volvo is looking like £200 extra per month not taking the initial into account. Not sure it's worth it tbh.
