Whats the best kind of deal you can get on a Qashqai?
I'm currently leasing a QQ from G2L so can give you something to aim for!

Qashqai 1.2 DiG-T Tekna (top spec with leather, cameras, etc)
Options: pano roof, metallic paint
6+23
£1623 down £270pm

The 1.2 is a bit slow on steep hills. I didn't want the diesel. Missus wanted gadgets. V v happy with it. Done 5k already.
We've got a Qashqai 1.2 Dig-T N-tec+, also from G2L.
no leather, but has the pano roof, cameras, ink blue metallic
6+35 (10k miles)
£1124.94 down £187.49pm (personal, plus VAT)

Wife loves it compared to my C220. Easier to get in and out, for both the passengers and pushchair in the boot

guys there a wiki where you can enter your best deals

follow the instructions as written - big thanks to saaby93 for creating it...
its really good to see the costs/cars on one page..

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
Can I suggest two additional columns on each table?

- Total cost per month
- Total cost per mile

Makes comparing the deals for a model much easier at a glance.

Are you volunteering to add this data? smile
I appreciate the information would be useful, but if you make something too good, it's all too complex, so no one ever does it.
I think all the key information is captured - a bit of leg work is always required afterwards.

All I did was open the thread - wemorgan set out the table formatting
I could never make tables work smash

At the moment it fits nicely. I'd be wary of adding more columns but haven't discounted it.. thinks

Whats the best cactus deals to put in there?

I think the Wiki is a good idea if it gets populated, otherwise we'll end up with 3 sources for deals. Like it or not, some people can't be arsed editing the Wiki so they'll just contribute to this thread. The other no-comment thread will probably just die a natural death.

Oh, the hyperlinks aren't working in the Wiki either.

Hopefully it'll reduce the number of lazy bones "What's the best deal on x guys?" posts too.

Nice work thumbup

In initially intended to add links to each deal. I found two problems with this 1. links were often dead 2. adding HTML to this forum is a pain. So I gave up and just gave the dealer/agent name. I'll rename the column to something more logical.

A (proper) wiki would be great but sadly I fear the PH version is too clunky and lacks change history so it's hard to see this getting much traction.

I'd love to be proved wrong though.

What I've been thinking is needed, and is something that PH management should really be considering as it could be a nice revenue generator, is a 'quote me' system with search, rankings and filtering for dealers/brokers to sign up to and submit deals.

Any recent quotes would be searchable, and if a specific deal wasn't listed then you could enter what you wanted and the brokers/dealers would respond with prices, competing where there is sufficient allowance/demand.

With positive validation of all elements (mileage, excess mileage charges, fees, lead times etc.) and an easy way to see fully amortised cost, total cost etc. it would be easy to compare deals.

Maybe just list the links under the table?
I'm not keen on hyper links anyway as you dont know whats hidden under them

I added the audi pdf link at the top of the audi table and managed to make it work at 5th attempt
(hopes it still works)

I've just added an Example Link to the bottom template, so people can copy that if they need to. thumbup

Interesting thanks. £270 probably a little much, perhaps lesser spec'd ones are a bit cheaper. Will definitely have to drive the 1.2 though to see what its like. I know previously they offered a 1.6 NA in the QQ and would assume thats about as anemic as you can get and that its replacement, this engine, is much better.

VAG 1.2 TSI gets some rave comments, especially when kitted with DSG box and thats less powerful than Nissans effort so I am hoping its not too weak a power unit.

Whats the car like for refinement? I have heard good things.

A key part of the data for each deal is a link to the deal. The data is pretty useless otherwise.

I've tested it and added the link for the Leon Cupra deal and it seems to work ok.
