Has anybody tried adding optional extras to their lease after the order has been confirmed?

I ordered an A4 from CHL last month (build date April), and after having seen a similar car in flesh, the alloys look hideously small. Its the first thing that stands out.

So I have 2 options:
Cancel the lease, pay 3 months cost, and buy a 350z
Try to change my order
Depends entirely on their rates at the time of amendment. They could be higher for the car than when you placed your order. Otherwise it shouldn't be a problem to update your order. Might need to re-sign the agreement though

has it been removed, as I can't find it:

https://www.gateway2lease.com/cars/nissan/370z/
I had to fill in the form to request a quote for that mileage and someone got back to me by email

And that's inc VAT too

Try driving one, big alloys on Audis can be a bit crashy/overly firm. Surely how it drives is more important?
Would be a better compromise to keep the wheels as is and "upgrade" to the Sports suspension. The wheels don't look quite so out of place when the car is 20mm lower. Saves you £500.

I'm going to test drive the 370z on Saturday. Got a quote from G2L. £240pm inc. VAT for 10K miles. Seems a bargain! Although the basis spec 370z appears VERY basis! Especially going from a Golf R with cruise control and parking sensors as standard.

I wouldn't add 18's without the sport suspension package, it won't look right. Adding both will seriously bump up the monthlies so personally I'd leave it as is. Doesn't look too bad, as someone else said , enjoy the comfy ride.

Buy some rims on ebay and then sell them again at the end? You may well be able to chamge your order to add 18s, but you'll pay full whack for the upgrade i suspect (over the term).
I got quoted an extra £60/PCM incl VAT across 23 months.

About to go for a Scirocco R DSG instead. Which is a bit different, and £16/PCM cheaper than the A4 on 18s.

If you went for the Sport then the wheels are actually quite nice I thought?

If not then yea as suggested buy a set online. Will be more unique and you can sell them at the end of the lease.

If you decide to cancel (or anyone that went for a saloon) let me know the details I might take it off you and then you won't have to pay the 3 months, you'll prob just lose admin fee). I'm aware there's the grey one up for grabs with heated seats and metallic paint but it's a bit pricey having £1k worth of extras smile
My Avant is coming with metallic paint and heated seats, didn't work out too bad at £183 inc vat on a 6+23.

I drove a 1.4 Sport with sports suspension and 18" rims - ride was fine.

I've not seen the 17" rims as the dealer cars all had 18s or 19s (which all looked fine), but I went for an S-Line car in the end so have the 18s as standard. £60 a month for bigger wheels is obscenely expensive.

I was quoted just over £1000 to add £150 rear seated heats to my car(430d GC). Yes, £1k spread over 2 years. What a joke. I don't know how finance companies work these things out. I stuck with the standard spec.

It would be cheaper to buy a couple of hot water bottles.
You usually pay for the price of the extras spread over the term, not sure where they got nearly 7 times the cost from.

As others have said, it's usually the option list price divided by the term (3+35=38) but if adding the option means that it's a factory order now over an in stock vehicle perhaps that also altered the base price to the supplier?

Apparently the rate I'm getting is fixed from a month or so ago, and residuals have since dropped so adding an option means repricing the whole car and it shoots up quite a bit. Shame.

Which is why you just go direct to the supplying dealer and pay for the option in full to them. Keeps all of the finance the same.

I've recently ordered an A4 Avant Sport and I'm a bit concerned about the standard 17's but I couldn't justify the expense of specifying "better" Audi wheels.

I think I may go down the route of buying some tasteful aftermarket wheels and then like someone has already suggested, sell them on eBay when I no longer need them.

I saw them on a Q3 and they looked terrible, hoping that they will look better (possibly a lower profile tyre) on the A4.

See previous posts and the wiki where if the option is likely to increase the value of the car, you wont need to pay the whole thing over the term. Try a different leaser if necessary

So did you cancel? What's the details?

That's seems like a cheap scirocco! What's the deal?

I'm tempted by a 370z but only if the price if the Nismo drops. I think the standard one looks a little bland but the nismo in white looks awesome

Thanks for all the suggestions. This is how it looks on the standard Y spoke alloys:

What are the implications in terms of warranty if non-standard alloys were fitted? What if the car is written off, are they only bothered about the settlement figure, or do they play an active part/will they kick up a fuss if it's fitted with non-standard alloys?

I don't think that looks too bad to be honest. For a family hack, it'll ride well at least. Mine's coming in black paint so hopefully that might help a little bit, but to be fair I'm kind of looking forward to having a bit more leeway from the curb when parallel parking!
