Best Lease Car Deals Available? (Vol II)

Although a pano roof is a very nice option indeed it is not one I would specify on a lease car; speccing up a leased car is a mugs game as the cost of the option is added to the cost of the lease and divided by your term - you pay 100% of the cost of the options which you then give back at the end of the term; as you can see on a 3+35 lease they were initially wanting me to pay the full £1370 for their error.
Anyway, what with another issue I've had I just thought "I've had enough of this" and told them to simply cancel the car; I'll get one elsewhere or wait a while and get the new model. They came back to me and said they'd take the hit.
I'm annoyed - to me this smells of sharp practice by someone. I've little confidence this car is actually even going to turn up now and will disappear like the famed Golf R deals - which will piss me off royal since we have a France trip in June with hotel and ferry booked. Annoyingly I now dare not actually pay the ferry reservation and I am not willing to actually arrange the insurance cover on the car (which is costing extra) until I am certain it will arrive - and I am by no means confident that it will; I suspect that some "problem" will occur with it where they then get to re-lease at the "correct" cost.
I even wonder if the lease company knew this all along and simply lured me in because of the specific colour I want and then decided to wait til fees paid etc and pull the old switcheroo? So far the company concerned have been really very efficient and their sales chap seems very nice and has worked hard for my business. I'll hold fire actually naming them (or filling in their TrustPilot review) when this pans out and I see if I actually receive the car or not.
Or maybe I'm just very pessimistic?
I would offer a 'gesture' of 1/4 (depending on how much you'd be willing to pay) the cost of the pano because it's something I'd want. Reiterate it's their error and it's a goodwill offer you're making. Take it or leave it, non negotiable. Alternative is they supply you the car you ordered in a timely manner - I believe there is a set amount of time considered'reasonable' to wait for a car, so they can't drag this out as a new order, and you should have some way of comeback. Do not re submit any paperwork. They'll reset the clock and send you to back of queue.
Dog Star, I suspect your car will turn up - I don't think they would have offered to take the hit if they were not wanting to supply you with the car - they would have made up some other excuse if they wanted to sell it on.
Things can go wrong though, and it's how they are sorted out that matters - your case doesn't sound too bad - it can be worse.....
I and others had the well documented hassle with the Golf R a couple of years ago, and about the same time a work colleague got a fantastic quote so ordered a Merc E-class hybrid diesel estate thingy - it all turned up fine but they didn't start taking any payments.
In the end it turned out the lease company had mistakenly quoted him the ex-VAT price instead of the inc-VAT price, and someone was trying to cover their arse - the lease company tried all sorts of tricks and pressure, including accusing him of knowing it was an ex-VAT price and making it out he was trying to deceive them! They threatened him by saying the Merc garage would repossess the car as he had not paid anything, even though he was trying his best to!
In the end he held his ground - he told them to come and get it then, and the lease company had to take the hit in the end.

The Passat Alltrack can tow 2000kg (just). This should be quite a bit cheaper.

In diesel guise, the Alltrack also promises to offer excellent towing ability, with a maximum braked towing capacity of 2200kg for all but the 148bhp base model tested here, which is rated at 1800kg. To aid with hitching and reversing with a trailer, there is an optional trailer assist function. It provides the driver with guidance via a rear-view camera, which projects images and steering angles onto the infotaiment monitor.

Since when did it cost £604 to deliver a car. That's misleading and verging on unethical behaviour so sneak that in. Would avoid these guys.
WOW, I hadn't looked at it in close detail, ridiculous really. That's one way to reduce the monthly cost, load it front end with fees...!! mikeg996 said:

Seems a good deal - it's precisely the deal available via CVL UK but excluding CVL's £239.99 admin fee. I dropped an e-mail to a dealer recommended earlier in the thread in Morden, but didn't get a response. Which dealer is your quote from?Deposit: £1800 (After a bit of faff)

That is IMO not a deal for a Juke. My wife had one for peanuts on a PCP but she is now many times happier in her Qashqai lease.

With a bit of digging you should uncover better than the above
Think my Mrs is paying £250 for 36 months (£1.7k Deposit) for a 1.5 Qashqai Tenka in White. Quite nice it is too (if a little plastic)Nissan Qashqai Diesel Hatchback 1.5 dCi N-Connecta 5dr

PS Good advice about going direct. Deposit will be lower and no admin fee....
I've got a deal on the VW Golf GTD. 6+23 in flat black, manual with no options. 5k miles per annum.
It's with VW so skips the middle man. 207.73 per month. In total it works out just over £6024 for the 2 years.
I ordered it last week and it will be here in around 2-3 weeks , mid May last I heard!
The dealer said he could do the same deal for a friend of mine who's applying for the car aswell but it needs to be applied for sharpish.
