I've got a deal on the VW Golf GTD. 6+23 in flat black, manual with no options. 5k miles per annum.

It's with VW so skips the middle man. 207.73 per month. In total it works out just over £6024 for the 2 years.
£600 cheaper than Stable over the term. Excellent.
When I was looking at these a month or so ago NVS were doing them just under £6k albeit with a £2400 deposit, I think the deal is still there. Im holding out in hope for a deal on the GTI. Stable never seem competitive to me.

That's a low monthly but a hefty initial/fee. Seems to be about the going rate now though, but be aware that similar deals were about £20/mo cheaper even just a few weeks ago. Maybe VW have tightened things up a bit.

If you can find a tame VW dealer you might get pretty much the same deal without the fee, saving £10/mo?

Yeah I've seen that deal, i was gonna apply but with the 240 admin fee it works out more! Plus I didn't want to pay the huge deposit!

You're in for a treat, got mine on Monday exactly the same as yours I love it looks so good in the flesh.

Yeah I can't wait! A few of my friends have got them!

I was gonna go for the Golf R manual on a one year PCP - seen it on lease world website. 1709 deposit and 189.99 a month for 12 months with 8k miles so adding up to 4K for one year which wasn't too bad at all! . I applied but with PCP you're effectively borrowing 30k and at 22 I was never gonna get accepted. So I'm being sensible with the GTD.

Hoping to test a cupra at the weekend. Can't seem to find any decent M135i deals and I know it's coming to end of life.

Same with the R really, can't find.
I will be looking at the Cupra too as an R replacement.., strange thing i thought i would hate in the R but now will miss is the electronic-automatic Hand brake no one-else seem's to be using this..

Here you go, something for you non-VW people. No idea if this is genuine as I pulled it straight from AllCarLeasing's website, but if you're in the market for a Mini Cooper S Auto:

Mini Hatchback 2.0 Cooper S 5dr Auto [Chili/Media Pack XL]
6 + 23 @ £179pm, 5k miles
£240 fee

£5400 in total, or £227 per month. Seems very competitive for such a car, especially with both Chili and Media Packs).

To the user who placed an order for an S5 Black Edition for circa £340 per month - when does it arrive?

If you're just going to hand it back, why don't you lease a Golf R?
At 24 I've got an estate on order, I don't think it's that much different, credit wise to PCP.

Cheap, but have you seen it?! Jeez the 5dr is so badly proportioned, I can't believe it ever got signed off.

Also, auto is pants on this.

Leasing is fine! I'd do that in a heart beat. But the deals now on the R for 2 years aren't worth it it ends up around the 8.5k mark for 2 years compare to 6 for the GTD. I know it isn't that much difference but over 2 years im sure maintenance fuel and insurance would add up for me so the GTD is fine for now . Also the 1 year deal I've seen is a PCP so effectively you're borrowing the total amount of the car circa 30k and I didn't get accepted for it!

I saw the estate deals a few weeks ago but I've seen one in person and it's not for me- I'd rather the hatch ! I'm happy with the GTD and after 2 years I think I'll purchase my next car!

Fair enough smile

Out of interest, how much do you think insurance will be?

Just type your details in to a price comparison site.

There's no merit in knowing what someone else pays.

I've already checked and the cheapest is around 1400 on the R. 8-900 on the GTD So quite a difference for me tbh

I think the radar cruise/anti collision that comes std on the R keeps the price down a little

This wasn't myself but I ordered an S5 Black Edition back in Feb for £310 per month and it's just left Germany, I imagine it will be with me at the end of May.

Incredibly, all Mk7 Golfs come with Radar Cruise. They decided to do it to mark themselves above the competition and with the economies of scale of it being on every car it's cost them hardly anything either.

That was me and it fell through. It got closer to £400 and I realised that it didn't include satnav so I backed out.
