Not wanting to get in trouble for continuing the discussion after being told not to, but I would like to point out that things are perfectly fine on the affordability front, despite the not-so-veiled accusations! It's just that there's potential trouble ahead at my place of work that may possibly affect me. If it does, then it would be stressful to have the ongoing financial commitment so I am just planning ahead for a possible situation that may develop.
It's an open forum. You don't need to apologise or justify yourself to anyone!

With the greatest respect & I sincerely hope that your your place of work remains stable for you but things are not fine on the financial front if you don't have 23x£190 as a back up.

I looked on the VWFS website because I'm thinking of binning my all track too which arrives in three weeks, it says you can't transfer.... Would be good to hear if you get round it.
I really hope transfers are available as I'd be interested.

As an aside do you realise how fking annoying it is that so many people missed out on these deals and now there are people who got them and don't want them. I'll tell you - VERY fkING ANNOYING
It is the idiot mentality of "I have to have it, its a bargain............oh st I can't really afford it.", all too common now days.
What a stupid thing to say, you know what they say about people who assume things don't you.... We're not all as poor as you.... Or am I assuming like you?

BEST LEASE CAR DEALS AVAILABLE? (VOL II)

I don't think I've heard a lease deal for a good few posts! Possibly rename the most to 'bhing, excess mileage charge and lease police'?

Ok I will bite, why are you thinking of "binning" one of the best deals for a while if not financial, Christ at £138 (cheapest deal) keep it for garden waste skip runs

As we are off topic, i agree. The rules of this thread are, post the deal, a link incl of vat with a bit of related banter. It is not about returning leases, gap insurance, business vs private. Im happy to start a new thread 'The real best lease deals'

There's this thread which runs in parallel

There's also this wiki which proved too cumbersome for most

Well I actually went ahead with a Megane 275 Cup S deal. Have spent too long procrastinating about various deals when they popped up and this time just thought sod it! Paid the admin fee and the car has apparently been ordered, so now waiting on a delivery date. I may just be a bit excited!!!

This talk of transferring leases has me intrigued. Some great deals to be had here potentially if it's legit:

That's a very decent price.

If you can stretch your budget then this A6 Allroad also looks decent value - assuming you'd consider an estate.

If you need a family car, this doesn't look too bad, and it's cheaper (I think) than a normal golf but bigger, if less sexy.

Freedom contracts have these in stock,

Citroen DS3 blueHDI S&S Elegance 110 - 15k miles - 1+23 £148 per month.

Looking to order one, but perhaps someone has seen something at a similar price for the miles that might do the job better? Looking for decent fuel economy and quick enough not to have to rag the arse off it, not too noisy on the motorway etc. seems the best I can find at quite short notice for the miles.

Meanwhile, back in the real world where we don't all own Porsches....
I certainly don't have £4K as a back up for anything.
I'm now unemployed as we have had to move abroad for my wifes job.

Volkswagen Golf Diesel Hatchback 2.0 TDI Match Edition 5dr DSG
http://www.swiftlease.co.uk/personal-lease-cars/vo...

Interested as it has DSG, 10Kmiles and only 3 months up front, total including deposit, rental, doc fees and VAT £6,721.9 / 24 = £280.08 a month

Personal contract hire
Contract term : 24 months
Rental profile : 3 + 23
Annual mileage :10000
Processing fee :£238.80
£249.35 incl VAT monthly rentals
£748.05 incl VAT initial rental

£249.35 x 23 = £5,735.05
£748.05 + £5,735.05 + £238.80= £6,721.9
£6,721.9 / 24 = £280.08
£6,721.9 / 20,000 miles = 33.61 pence per mile.
