On another note anyone manager to grab the GLE Coupe Amg' s being offered for £399 by freedom last week?

I've seen listed today a Cupra 290 (Leon)
£2400 down & 167.99 x 23 (5k miles) with our friends a CVL, over the period it's just over £6k
sound reasonable?
Yep it's been around that ballpark for a while - I was tempted when it was up at £2,400 + 23x £185 inc VAT in December but I had to plump for the cheaper 1.4T Audi A4 deal. I definitely fancy a 5 door Cupra next time though if there are no 6 cylinder cars on bargain leases at the time. It seems to be a hot hatch that flies a little under the radar and yet has had some decent press (I think I recall watching a YouTube vid of Sutcliffe from Autocar driving it round Anglesey or somewhere vs a Golf R and it was quicker).£2400 down & 167.99 x 23 (5k miles) with our friends a CVL, over the period it's just over £6k

I've had a Mk1 Cupra R, now got a Mk2 FR and fancied the cupra again, I own the FR outright and want to release some cash so thought this might be the time to take the plunge!!

Currently looking at a replacement for my wife's F30 330d.
Telephone quote from Vines BMW yesterday for contract hire - I had originally enquired for a 435d GC on Coast2Coast.
3+35, 10k miles
335d X Drive M sport with MS+ pack £437pm
535d M sport £403 (which I think is a bargain but too big a car for her)
640d GC MS+ pack £457
The 435d GC with heated seats, folding mirrors, HK & 19" wheel upgrade for reference was coming in at £510 on the same profile
The 335d is much better value imo.
I'm not fussy about the engine as long as it is a 6cly. He mentioned that the residual on the 35d is so good that the 40i won't be close to it.
Personally I'd like 12k pa, 3+23 in a Golf R DSG for £325ish if anyone knows of any deals ?
Select website looked most competitive but they haven't replied to an enquiry so far. Anyone of experience going directly to a dealer ?

BMW main dealer phone numbers are common knowledge.
Lots of 640d deals here too:
http://www.easternwesternfleetservices.co.uk/busin...
Others also available:
http://www.contracthireandleasing.com/business/car...
Most of the good 640d deals are business only though.

Is anyone able to offer advice on increasing mileage allowance after the order?
I am going to be racking up a load of business miles on my car which has been ordered but not yet delivered (say 10k more on a 12k contract) I have mailed the company but not having much luck getting a response.
Do you think they will be able to offer a price better than simply paying the excess charge?

ultimately the cost of paying the excess will often equal what you would have paid over the term to have that mileage in the contract. The only downside is that you need to pay it all in a lump sum at the end. It is possible that it's more expensive to pay the excess however, as sometimes there can be a stinger in the contract - possibly why they have no impetus to get back to you, as it might well be in their favour to ignore the request. It is a bit of a one-sided arrangement as soon as you step off the absolute "happy path". Have you signed the contract? If so you may be stuck.I am going to be racking up a load of business miles on my car which has been ordered but not yet delivered (say 10k more on a 12k contract) I have mailed the company but not having much luck getting a response.
