Only taxed for the first year. How usual is that? Could add £20 a month to the cost for anything 'interesting'.

The guy at Vines who called me with the 335d/535d/640d figures originally was to pass my details onto another team (can't recall the name he gave them) because I said that if they have any cancelled orders or pre reg cars for around the same price I would interested in those instead of waiting 10 weeks for a new one.
That other team haven't bothered to call back.
I got no more joy from my local dealer - not even a callback.

I've got the local VW dealer working on a price for the Golf R and if he can't beat it today I'll be straight onto Horizon as it seems like a solid deal - just wish the 19" alloys didn't add £40 odd a month!

Cheers,

Phil

Amazing deals on the A6 3.0 TDI SE Executive at the moment. If only they were Avants.

SVL - deposit £2k + VAT and 23 x £169.99+ VAT

Know what you mean! Currently got a Golf R at 207 a month with met paint (18's though) and am looking at another. From Select with Lapis and 19s for 5 dr DSG it was coming out 315 a month with 2800 down inc maintenance. Just too much. Let me know how you get on!!!

Was quoted £15 month for maintenance and tyres and thought it was literally £15 per month of driving but its per month of payment, so 6x23 would be 29 payments of £15. Therefore the higher the number of payments you put down for deposit the dearer maintenance gets!
With my VWFS lease, I'm only making 24 monthly maintenance payments. One on the initial and then one for each of the subsequent 23 monthlies. The quote you've been given sounds like a mistake.

Good price. Apparently: Lead time is 14-16 weeks, includes tax for the full term. Black or white for free, metallic adds £25 + VAT per month,

What are the peoples opinions of the latested Audi A6 deal who have just ordered the Ultra Black Edition? Still happy or wish you had waited? I can see that the A6 SE 3.0 Quattro is a really good deal but it just doesn't excite me! I can't image ordering one and being excited about waiting for it! The engine kind of makes up for the looks, however not enough to make me want to panic and order one!

I think your judgement is pretty much in line with mine. Both good deals in their own right. The compromise is looks v power - what would you rather have?... Both, he says!

So you're more excited by some black plastic and "ooh, shinies" than 270BHP and four-wheel drive? Membership card on your way out, please... smile

Personally I think the BE looks far better than the "basic" SE exec. Since we are talking a "daily driver" here, while it would be lovely to have the bigger engine, I reckon the extra paid out in fuel would balance the 2 deals out, and the creature comforts/looks etc will give me plenty of pleasure day to day.

If the 2 deals had been available at the time of ordering it would have been a VERY difficult decision though!!

The black edition looks great and has the Bose stereo but for me it stops there. Yes you would smile when walking up to it and get a few compliments but are you really going to enjoy driving it? The 3 litre will be smoother and with the S Tronic and all that torque be a great all rounder. Don't forget the 20" rims on the black edition mean expensive tyres too and a so-so ride.
Both nice cars just in different ways!

There's always a better deal smile AS SOON as I committed I understood something better would appear - them's the breaks...

A 3.0 Quattro SE Exec saloon is quite a different car to the 2.0 Ultra Estate Black with all its toys and stuff. I can see absolutely see the appeal of a 3.0 4wd it makes a lot of sense on British roads, but that isn't what I needed. Decent economy, estate, lots of toys and sub £400 pcm amortised was my goal.

In terms of value the (amortised) monthly works out as 0.88% of list - about the same as the Nationwide A6 Allroad deal, which has a similar drive train.

having driven 2 x a6 2.0tdi back to back for 200k miles, then get into an e class 3.0 tdi merc I would never go back to a 2.0 tdi anything.

I'm in a GOLF R at the moment but after having the mirrors nicked twice! I have just pulled the trigger on the 3.0 272 ps deal. I would chose the engine every time.

Each to his own though. I respect everyone's decision.

I am currently in a Golf R too and tbh, think i might just get another! I appreciate that the BE A6 looks ALOT better than the SE, however the SE would be ALOT more engaging to drive, however i don't particularly need a diesel........

I was looking at these last night and you can downspec the 20" alloys to 19" for zero cost. Something of a quandary there then.

For the 3.0 TDi there now also seems to be three power outputs, 211, 272 and the 300+ of the BiTurbo. Has anybody compared the first two or is it a case of more is more?
