First post after many many years of reading. Great resource and so many great members, I hope to add something in time!

So frustrating these lease offers, ready to push the button on something 6 cylinder but nothing fits into at the moment. The 335d was so close but a bit to much, wish i'd gone for the 330e back in December!

Anything else non A6 and 6 cylinder about?! I need a Passat type deal!

I am currently in a Golf R too and tbh, think i might just get another! I appreciate that the BE A6 looks ALOT better than the SE, however the SE would be ALOT more engaging to drive, however i don't particularly need a diesel........
I don't need a diesel either, I'm not fussed about fuel consumption. It's just having my mirrors continually nicked. That and the price of the a6 it's a killer deal. I am going to have to pay about £1400 to give the golf back. I'm 6'2" so the golf is a little cramped also. Just looked at the stats of the diesel lump and it's got plenty of Torques!

I was looking at these last night and you can downspec the 20" alloys to 19" for zero cost. Something of a quandary there then.

For the 3.0 TDi there now also seems to be three power outputs, 211, 272 and the 300+ of the BiTurbo. Has anybody compared the first two or is it a case of more is more?
audi.co.uk ? you can compare them there... I think more is almost always definitely more, unless talking to the missus.

the 211 is 6.6 to 62mph (272 is 5.5), mpg roughly the same - torque 500 vs 580.

It was the Audi site I saw them on, but they aren't really telling me much, other than power outputs and economy. I was hoping somebody would have driven both and declared the 272 version vastly smoother or much better suited to the gearbox or some such.

Edit

Apologies, it's 218ps not 211ps. Getting myself mixed up.

Personally I think the BE looks far better than the "basic" SE exec. Since we are talking a "daily driver" here, while it would be lovely to have the bigger engine, I reckon the extra paid out in fuel would balance the 2 deals out, and the creature comforts/looks etc will give me plenty of pleasure day to day.

If the 2 deals had been available at the time of ordering it would have been a VERY difficult decision though!!
I have the option of both of these! Claris said they will honour the Black Edition deal if i sign today! Decisions decisions!

In all fairness, this A6 deal is as close to the Passat deal as Ive seen recently...

Fairly sure this has been discussed before. As I remember, the consensus was that the 218 offered less power for roughly the same economy and the 320 was a rocket ship. It looks like the 272 is a good compromise. I would imagine the 272/4WD combo is plenty for everyday trundling about.

Don't think anyone took the 218 Allroad, and the current SE deals are all for the 272 anyway. Can't imagine you'd be disappointed with the SE at that price. It's a discrete, pokey (do people still say poke?), quality motor.

Anybody had a quote for the bigger wheels? The 18" on the Audi config are over 2k but there are 19" for £1200. Surely they would make this battleship more appealing.

I was going to say the same. It's not 'OMG cheap' in absolute terms, but for the car itself it seems a stonking deal.

Anyone even half serious about taking a lease on a large family car would really need to hate the Audi badge or have a very strict budget to pass this A6 by.

I predict a lot of "was just about to pull the trigger" posts on this one...

Just ordered a Audi A6 3Ltr V6 272ps Quattro SE Exec 6+23, 10k miles @ £234 month, from my local Audi garage, excess mileage is just 6p !

Don't think there's too much out there that matches that ??? Unfortunately I can't fit the family in a Golf R !
Which audi dealer was this? As it beats the CVL deal by £485

Thanks, I hadn't appreciated that the deal in question was only on this engine, so which is best is somewhat irrelevant.

Audi UK's set up of spec is annoying though. For example you can't order rear sun blinds on their own as they are only available as part of a much more expensive convenience pack.

I agree, I have filled out the forms and sent back for the 272. for just over 7k for 2 years on a 42k car and 10k miles is a steal IMO. I am not getting my hopes up as it seems a little too good.

Yes it's +vat & through my biz. I found the price through www.allvehiclecontracts.co.uk but their excess mileage was nearly 17p. I took the deal to my local Audi Dealer in Bury St Edmunds & they price matched the monthly but with excess mileage at 6p !

He mentioned they usually offer 14% deals & this one was at 17% so he was losing money ...... My heart bled for about 2 seconds & then I signed the order ! Delivery early August !

Even better, the dealer has just contacted me to say he's managed to amend a week 25 order, so I'll receive delivery in July .... Happy Days !
