I'm not sure whether to lease a Golf R or finance a Polo GTi - or- finance a used RS3.

Are there any good deals still on the R?

No, couldn't ascertain exactly where it was losing pressure from, but would have thought that ATS Euromaster would have figured that out, the bloke never said that it could not be repaired, just said that the finance company didn't mess about and that they usually always replaced tyres. Would have got the slow puncture repaired independently if possible had i known what was coming.
If you did not authorise the replacement then tell the leaseco this.

Ask the leaseco if they called you before to tell you the cost and seek approval for the costs. I'm guessing they didn't. Then tell them as they didn't seek approval, you will not approve the payment.
Worked for me with a repair for 'damage' to an interior part.
Thanks for the advice, i will call them again.

Can anyone with a lease through vw financial services tell me if the initial rental was taken via direct debit or you had to pay it separately please.

I should soon be taking delivery of my Golf R estate, I'm told the initial payment is taken by direct debit 14 days after delivery.

VWFS take the initial payment by direct debit 14 days after delivery, you can as a retail customer check on your lease contract online now which is a nice improvement.

Incidentally, I drove the Golf R Estate on Thursday at the SMMT Drive Day for journos on the Millbrook Hill Route. What a car!

Makes a fantastic noise and in Sport it really was huge fun to drive. Sure, you can feel the extra weight around the back when really pushing on, but it's incredibly composed for a car like that. Grip levels are huge but it's still very playful.

All in all, I'm now even more envious that I didn't get in on the last deals!

Haha, fair play! Will add I'm asking on behalf of my sister, I drive a 14 plate S3, which is basically a Golf R, and will hopefully find favour here...
Anyone know of anything decent for around £150pm with 3/6/9 upfront? (That isn't a yeti)
Cheers

I posted a Golf Match Edition earlier today £138 inc vat 9+23.

Under £150, in stock, lots of toys and Alltrack Grey. That's about as PH as a lease car can be 😄

That's £8,213 total for 5k Miles PA.

I've just ordered a 5dr DSG Golf R in Metallic Grey on 10k miles PA.

3+23 @ £329.75
Fee £180

Total £8,753.50

Double the miles for £500 more.

Horizon Vehicle Leasing if you wanted to pursue it.

Thanks,

Phil

Experience of paying off PCP early yet still getting PCP contribution?

Has anyone taken a VW finance PCP for the contribution, then paid off the balance within first month, yet retained the PCP contribution? Seems too good to be true, but have heard whispers it is possible. If so, do you sacrifice the down payment of say 3 months?

Thanks

First, PCP is not a lease. This thread is about leasing!

Second, yes, you can easily pay off the PCP at point and buy the ca routright (or even cancel the finance agreement within the two-week cooling off period). The 'deposit contribution' won't be clawed back - although it worthy reading the T's and C's carefully rather than relying on this smile

That question makes no sense. Sound's like you're confusing leases and PCP again smile

Just use this thread, it's amusing how much it annoys some on here.

There's more to life. It's to everyone's benefit if there's some structure.

We did it with VW a few months ago. Be aware that if you withdraw it's 14 days from signing the docs, not 14 days from getting the car. You do still pay interest on a daily basis until you call, then they freeze the deal and you have 30 days to pay it off. You keep all the incentives.

It used to be that you save quite a bit in doc etc fees but they've generally done away with these now, so even if you get past 14 day you can settle the finance with just the (max 60 days) early settlement interest penalty.
