To be honest I find my Golf a little uninspiring. Ive had it 2 years now, lovely car it is but it sounds absolutely crap. Totally synthetic noise that makes me not want to switch on race mode. Great car in terms of performance vs economy/practicality but RS3 is much more fun

I dont care about the image. Im a petrol head, I also have a Delta integrale Evo 2 and a mk1 ford cortina GT to help my case to that. Even though this is my daily, I still want it to be fun. I couldnt care less about the image of a car - Im just looking for something thats the right size to get the kids in, has 4 doors (or 5), a decent ish boot, looks good, goes well (really well :-)) and sounds good. The golf ticks all of the boxes bar the last one, plus I cant have a Golf forever.

Im after details on leases anyway, already half a page in I feel like I am having to justify my choices :-)

Okay M235i for £320, Golf R for £190...

...all sounds great but I must be doing something wrong because I can't find anything approaching these numbers (maybe as I need 15k miles). I seem to get a Golf Match for this budget! Ideally looking for 330d. How do people find these deals - any particular sites?

Thanks for info re Tesco, unfortunately I don't know anyone who works for them.

Golf R deals at that price have long gone! You're in the £250-300 bracket now.

Have the Golf R prices ever been £4560 over 2 years or is that ignoring VAT and/or initial payment ?

Any opinions on Applied Leasing?

Looking at a 208 GTi Prestige in metallic at 1 x 24 at £206, switching to a 3 x 24 or 6 x 24 works out within £100 over the term, there is also no doc fee.

Made initial contact yesterday with a friendly chap and delivery was quoted just prior to Christmas, this has now slipped to late Jan as the 'allocation has sold out'.

Is this somewhat common?

I realise that the GTi was a lot cheaper earlier in the year but this seems the best of the current offers.

I think these low prices must be for some very low mileage contracts.

When I search for 5dr Golf R on a personal lease with 15k miles, 3+23 term I get around the £400 mark. This is using a site that compares prices across lease companies.

Anyway really looking for something like a 330d.

It's the mileage that will be screwing you over for the very cheap deals on BMWs.

You can get a 330d for £250 at 8k miles.

It's another £100 per month for 15k.

Hi Porkinsider,

Okay makes sense, thanks for the info, do you know where I can get 330d @ 15k for £350? Even that is cheap compared to what I've currently got...best I can find is £438 with nationwide vehicle contracts.

If you think you've found an RS3 deal then please paste basic lease details and LINK IT, that's the point of this thread that often gets lost smile

But last time I looked, there are no deals for the RS3. Only full price or full price equivalent (in a manner of speaking...)
i'm also all ears! Driving one on sat...

£440 seems a lot for an RS3 when an M235i can be had for £320.
i think the M2 is more a fair comparison though... could be wrong

There's one here, Cr4zy: http://www.ukcarline.co.uk/car-leasing/bmw/3-serie...

£349.86 on 9+23 with 15k miles

ETA: just realised it's a touring.

I'd be surprised if dealer can offer something brokers are not already offering.

There is an offer similar to that on the Audi site but it's £7k down - seems pretty expensive over 3 years, circa £22k? On a £41k car with metallic....

Looks like that deal is only £5/m + VAT more expensive for the 335d based on 10k pa. Seems good to me.

looking around i think you need to add the VAT?

the personal deals seem to be approx £3k down and £510pcm at 8k over 3 years. £20850 over the term, or £7k a year... ish.

£100 a month more than the GT, if you can accept how it looks.
