Looking for a car to scratch my itch for a quick car together with keeping the girlfriend happy on the minor daily commute.

Seen some Golf R deals about for the Mk7 at around £2462 down with around 270 pm on a 9 month initial deposit...Thoughts?

What other cars would you recommend and what sites / contacts would you recommend.

If the right price comes about we are ready to buy imminently.

sounds expensive based on the new deals coming out.

ball park for quarter 3 deals on the R would be around 6.5 - 7k total over 2 year term.

Nav, heated seats, App connect (Yes Google/Apple Nav/Apps) all included on MY2016 Hatch or Estate, It is a better deal just on the options included alone than my R which was one of the arly 64 plates..
Hi mate,
I'm after one of the golf r estates with heated seats. Do you know who is offering these later cars on a deal? The one I was offered yest was a stock build without heated seats

I have been speaking with a guy called Nick at Bedford Volkswagen, he has done it for 1500 deposit and 215 a month on 2 years 10,000 miles per year. Apparently decreasing the mileage doesn't effect the rate???
He emailed me last night at midnight to say that it would be around 12 weeks and by factory ordering you can be sure of getting the new spec...

Does anyone know what the excess mile charge is on the Cuora Black deal - I do up to 20k a year so hoping it's no more than 7p a mile!
Yes cupra and golf are both funder by VW financial services so just 7.2p excess miles, far cheaper to take deal as is and then add more mileage after first 12 months

A little bit gutted that these Cupra deals have just cropped up. Got delivery of my new one 2 weeks ago, not at a price too dissimilar but I don't have the black pack. I actually prefer the wheels on the standard car but the bucket seats do look great. A black on black car is incredible VFM at the price

For anyone considering, it is a great car to drive and makes an incredibly split personality daily. I read a lot of reviews before going for the deal and if you believe them then it is supposedly more fun to drive than the golf r and doesn't feel any slower - tends to be quicker round a dry track.

Was this with the loyalty rate or based on figures he had there and then? I spoke to a fleet guy at 5pm and he said there was a load of confusion on what the deal actually was....

I believe the confusing loyalty offer is only for the non estate models, and if you are already in an r hatchback that's due to expire soon.

These prices are inclusive VAT.

Are you talking all inclusive or just the monthly payments? All in all we are talking £8971 (230 fee + 2462 for 9 month rental + (273 x 23)). If we're talking monthly payments then it's £6279...

What sites are indicative of these lower prices as I'm pretty keen to buy very soon...

Pretty sure imran meant all-in.

Vehicle Savers have a Golf R for £200/month on a 9+23 term. £360 admin fee and based on 6k pa. £6760 over the term.

Is this the emissions based loyalty offer, or something else? I'm sure I saw the emissions one was ending at the end of June.

just waiting for a call back from a Seat main dealer on the cupra deal

Voicemail is saying that they can be competitive with the £269.99 but wont be able to do a 1+24 profile, their minimum is a 2+?? profile. Will update this thread when they come back to me with the full details and costings

Unfortunately the deal you've quoted is the extremely unrealistic 6k miles with a 3dr. The deal I'd need is a 9+23 over 10k pa and 5dr...

On the website at least the deal works out to £8242.88 on the DSG (2217.06 ID + 360 (fee) + (246.34x23) and on the manual is 7734 (2073.96 + (230.44x23) + 360))

I think getting a deal for £8k over the two years in total would be a good one...

The current offers are the cheapest Golf R hatchback prices since the original 2014 deals, especially considering the fact sat nav, heated seats and metallic paint are included in the price. If you hold out waiting for that deal to go sub £8000 you will be sat here moaning in this thread about how you missed out on the deal. Based on the previous Golf R estate deal I do not expect these prices to still be around by the end of next week.

Also getting my back up that people continue to post requests without seemingly reading a single post in this thread. Example being the guy on the previous page requesting a Golf R literally 3 posts after I had posted the link to the vehicle savers deal.

I'm looking for the cheapest possible runabout as a third/fourth car having had our 13 year old Punto written off whilst parked.
My first thought was to buy something similar for £1000-£1500, but I noticed this deal and for the same sort of money we could have this for a year:

http://www.lingscars.com/Citroen/C1_Airscape/21817...
Citroen C1 Airscape
1.2 PureTech 12v (82bhp)
Flair
Hatchback 5dr
1199cc
Petrol Manual
(Pre-Reg)

3+11 10k
£111.59 inc vat

Is this a good deal?
Can it be beaten for total cost over the term/per month?
I'd rather a longer contract length, but the prices seem to rise for longer contracts.

I've never leased before and this is all a bit confusing.
If only there was an easy way to see the total cost apportioned monthly rather than constantly trying to calculate 2+17 or 9+23 etc etc. Then some are plus vat.
Might just buy an old Golf.. I'm getting too old for this st.
We have just had the non airscape Flair model (brand new not pre-reg) delivered for my daughter. Ordered through Charters Citroen in Aldershot. Two year deal initial payment £574.27 and 23 monthly payments of £95.71 all including vat. 8k miles per year with a 6p xs mileage charge. Free metallic paint and delivery by trailer. Contact Gary Porter on 01252-888597. Could not fault service, highly recommended.

It seems that main dealers are offering pretty decent rates on the Golf R Estate in Q3. I know with brokers that good deals can be very flash in the pan; how does it work with main dealers. Are these deals likely to stick for most of the quarter?

For these deals it usually originates from Volkswagen Fleet Services (VWFS) whether it is a main dealer or a broker. I would say that no these deals will likely expire once the allocation of cars is fulfilled. In April the Golf R estate at £200 per month was fully allocated in 48 hours.
