As has already been said: the price for the Golf R at vehiclesavers is not the cheapest - the Golf R Estates at Horizon and G2L are quite a bit cheaper.
But I'm not looking for an estate...I'm looking for the specifics mentioned above in my post.

Can someone quote me a cheaper price as like I'm said I can't find one cheaper than VS?

Cheaper still from some dealers. It's all been covered in the last 3-4 pages, not sure why people are still asking for Golf R deals, the best current deals have been posted several times already.
Link them please as I seem to be blind as all I've read about has been R Estates and the Seat Leon Cupra.

Very interested in the Golf R deals but haven't leased before - are any of the companies mentioned in the thread well recognised / good? Anyone used them before?

I've not kept pace with all the Golf R deals, but thought this looks ok for a main dealer.

Are you incapable of navigating the website yourself to find the 5 Dr price? Vehicle savers are currently the best price on the Golf R Hatchback, 3Dr or 5Dr. The cheaper deals being quoted by others are on the estate not the hatchback.

Some right old thickos on here.

The current Golf R deals are cracking. Do we see some cheaper ones coming out in the next few days/weeks?

"Snooze you lose" is the old adage here I think.

If its "cracking" then crack - on.

Personal opinion I know, but is the Golf R hatch worth the extra £1300 over the Leon for two years?

Need to confirm if the spec is as the copy and paste by the OP, then it's a case of saying is the 4WD worth the extra? As the Golf now includes sat nav etc.

Just stop fking procrastinating, anywhere around 6.5k on a Golf R Estate is a brilliant deal and you will regret fannying around when they are all gone by Monday evening.

Got mine 3 weeks ago and it is absolutely immense.

If you need dealer contacts try Vindis (as previous post) or go Lancaster VW, who have a big fleet team who will match anything out there.

Do you have a specific contact email at Lancaster VW? I've sent one to the websites 'contact us' address for now.

In my experience, just phone in the morning and order the car. Procrastination and waiting for emails just increases the likelihood of disappointment.

Not sure if this is a mistake, but appears to be a lot cheaper than everywhere else I'm looking.

Drove a Golf R Estate this morning. Guy chucked me the keys and left me to it for an hour and it was simply brilliant. Outstanding at the every day stuff with the DSG and active cruise making life super easy and relaxing. Well built, spacious, refined and classy. As I drove in through town and down the motorway I felt disappointment creep in - this isn't that car for me, I need some fun.

...then I found a cracking B-road, put it into race and beat the living daylights out of it. It was plenty fast and plenty fun; up on her haunches moving around, rocketing out of each corner as sooon as you are on the power. Just brilliant, the perfect bi-polar car. I'm sure my Focus RS would be 5-10% more exciting on a country road when it arrives but it would also be 80% less practical/classy the rest of the time. The numbers do it for me though, the RS will hold it's value really well but it almost certainly won't amortise anwhere near £270 pcm. I can probably pick my RS up and sell it that same day for the £2k gain I've made on the list price and that more than covers the deposit on the Golf. Circa £150-200 for me to drive a Golf R around for 2 years/20k...come at me smile

That was the going rate for the last 3 months. 1.6 was £1k less.

Best company I've found so far for R deals, DSG (5dr) is Vehicle Savers. Drafting up my email and giving them a call on Monday to secure close to 235-245 pm.

Overall cost here is (9m ID, 2YRS, 10K)

360+2217.06+(246.34×23) = £8242.88

Challenge a cheaper quote?
Maybe I am missing something, but that's an amortised £351, which is very uncompetitive compared to the deals over the last 5 or so pages. The Golf R Estate (also DSG) is coming it at around £270-90 amortised.
Depends if you want the estate though. im wanting another R and the estate is tempting but purely for cost saving - i dont really want it. In isolation for what you get the 5dr deals are still decent.
I dont think the loyalty deal will be that amazing so im going to see if a dealer can match the vehicle savers price on a 5dr hatch thus removing the fee and giving me the opportunity to add options and pay for them upfront instead of going on the monthly. Lancaster VW are apparently worth a punt.
