Spoke to CVL regarding the R Estate
Bad News : No option's can be added such as App Connect..
Good News : Nav and Winter Pack Included std and Choice of Colours such as lapis, pure white, black avaliable at cost..
As we are currently discussing in the Alltrack thread, if the Nav is the same as the one in the Alltrack it is a bit pants and at £125 (on the Passat) factory option I would definitely recommend anyone to take it, though you can have it added for £215 at the dealer after delivery if you feel the same about the VW nav.Bad News : No option's can be added such as App Connect..

That's a bit harsh. Granted there have been some really stupid questions but I asked the deposit one because I simply don't know. I assumed I had to lay out £1,500 to secure the car and wait 12 weeks for delivery. I was plesantly surprised to be informed that it's not taken until the car is delivered. I've never had a lease before - I've never even considered it an option - how could I "know" before I ask? Going forward it will now be a part of my knowledge base that lease deposits are paid as the first payment. I don't understand how it makes me "stupid" because I don't know something before I ask about or reserach it.
Otherwise, I have spotted a good deal and I haven't f**cked around. Got all finance checks done over the weekend, spec confirmed this morning and now got a few hours sweat to see if I get allocated the car. I can appreciate that newbie questions are frustraiting to die heard leasers, but for people that have never taken the plunge before, a lease is quite a daunting committment with lots of "ifs", "buts" and "maybes". Crucially, it seems the penalties are harsh for getting it wrong and wanting/needing to bail mid-lease so it's quite natural to ask many questions, even the stupid ones.
Valid points....however a lease does not have a deposit..Otherwise, I have spotted a good deal and I haven't f**cked around. I guess if this thread were labelled "Leasing Q&A" or something similar people wouldnt get so irritated...
Anyway, congrats on biting the bullet and going for it!! Hope it all works out as you want.

I got told the same thing by Nick Kealy at Vindis. Currently doing £1,500 + £215 (white), + £240 (black) or + £245 (lapiz) on 10k with delivery in 5-6 weeks as opposed to 12-14.Bad News : No option's can be added such as App Connect..

I'm having a very unsettled day awating final confirmation that I've been allocated a Lapiz vehicle. A little gutted I couldn't spec High Beam (I'm THAT lazy) and app conect but you can't have it all.

I've just received the quote from LPG. S3 5dr manual 3+23 on 10K per year is £322 maintained or £261 non. All inc
I could save £400 over the term going for the vehicle savers Golf R DSG but I prefer the interior of the S3 and quite fancy getting a new (facelift) model.
LPG? Which broker is this?MullacAbz said:

I spoke with leaseplan go this morning my current Golf r 3dr manual with metallic and 19's is through them on a 3+23 @287inc. The lady I spoke to thought an S3 5dr manual would come in at £20 per month more.
Regarding the Leon vs Golf vs S3 debate...
The Golf r is a cracking car but is seems every low life scum bag out there is trying to Rob them. Just have a search through the forums. I personally have been burgled twice and a close neighbour had his front door kicked in at 6pm on a Saturday evening whilst he was at home by 3 x balaclava'd muskets demanding his keys. Purely for this reason I wouldn't have another!
I am currently signed up for £325 per month on a 3+23 for an S3 S Tronic + Metallic paint on 8k miles and no fees. Sounds more competitive than leaseplan based on those high level figures. Regarding the Leon vs Golf vs S3 debate...

Vehiclesavers just quoted me £268 inc on a 3&23 3dr Golf R, inc DSG, Metallic, Nav & Winter pack.
I have completed paperwork in hand for the Leon, but also spoke to Leaseplan this morning (who I'm currently with) and they say there's a S3 deal due out today..........
I'm getting dangerously close to snoozing & losing
S3, Golf R or Leon. Is there really a bad one there? I think all 3 are fantastic cars.I have completed paperwork in hand for the Leon, but also spoke to Leaseplan this morning (who I'm currently with) and they say there's a S3 deal due out today..........

So it seems the hatchback R is quite a bit more expensive than the estate. That's a shame! Is the hatchback price still really good (question for those tracking Golf R prices for last year or two!)?
Anyone managed to get the 3dr DSG (NAV) with Lapiz price matched at a main dealer (and therefore saving £360?)??
Also, on another note, do we think there's a chance of the Audi TTS or S-line getting more Audi support with the imminent TT RS arrival?

Anyone looking for a large SUV?
Just received this offer from Silverstone:
Volkswagen Touareg Diesel Estate
3.0 V6 TDI BMT 262 R Line Plus 5dr Tip Auto
£292.79 + VAT monthly rental
£2635.11 + VAT initial rental
9+23 8k miles
The Touareg is a nice vehicle, and these seem to have absolutely everything on them. Makes the C250 Coupe next to it (on silverstone website) look expensive!

I'll probably get murdered for asking this, but I'm super curious: if there is no deposit and therefore no prior financial committment, what's to stop the leasee bailing on the deal when the car is built and ready for collection or delivery? I'm guessing with many of these internet negotiated deals, no paperwork will have been signed prior to delivery. It surprised me (plesantly) that they don't try and get money off you the instant your car is put to the factory for a build slot. Suppose you ordered up a really unpopular colour with weird option and then didn't take the car; what the hell would the dealer do with it?I guess if this thread were labelled "Leasing Q&A" or something similar people wouldnt get so irritated...

Deposit? The initial payment isn't refundable. Now I've never leased but I've yet to read anything that says the initial payment is anything other than that, an initial payment. You don't get any money back.
Don't know about you, but to me, deposit and initial rental are the same thing.WWESTY said:

I believe the same vehicle from G2L is a better overall deal (albeit with slightly lower miles) https://www.gateway2lease.com/cars/volkswagen/toua...Just received this offer from Silverstone:

Can confirm this - G2L told me same. They're 2017 model build slots (yay!) but not configurable (boo!)Bad News : No option's can be added such as App Connect..
I would seriously regret not having App Connect, so I didn't bite despite the excellent price

I ordered white lease spec! Only thing it is missing for me is electric seats and a decent NAV, otherwise great piece of kit

Me too, I spoke to Nick this morning and he told me he'd put me down for a white one (finance etc was done yesterday). But I'm not sure now if that means I actually have one or if I need to wait for a confirmation....will give it an hour or 2 then call if I haven't heard anythingI'm having a very unsettled day awating final confirmation that I've been allocated a Lapiz vehicle. Nope.Deposit is a downpayment. Initial rental is exactly what it says it is.
Re bailing out of an order. This will depend on the broker/finance company, but they will normally have a cancellation clause in their T's & C's.

Yours is through Vanarama isn't it? The deal on that webpage (which doesn't exist now - wonder if it ever did) would have been slightly cheaper but that may have been for one car in stock in a non-metallic colour or something.
Mine through Nationwide Vehicle Contracts is also a Lex lease. And hopefully arrives this week, since it's at the dealer now apparently

Glad your car has finally turned up. Be very interested to hear how you find it when it arrives. I didnt test drive as I didnt want to miß the deal and figured for 2 years it would meet my needs of a decent sized load lugger.

I think this R Line Plus spec includes the electric seats and a few more bits too.
