Nope.
Deposit is a downpayment. Initial rental is exactly what it says it is.
Re bailing out of an order. This will depend on the broker/finance company, but they will normally have a cancellation clause in their T's & C's.
For me this too. A deposit is paid up front and can be refundable in some cases. The initial payment isn't paid until the vehicles been delivered and is never returned.Deposit is a downpayment. Initial rental is exactly what it says it is.

Karl. That sounds like the the fully maintained excess. Check the last line under the 'Your personal contract hire lease' section, I suspect it says Full maintenance and servicing including tyre replacement.
Be careful with LPG, I have a recent quote with them on an S3, looking at around £350 on a 3x23 profile. The big issue is the 31PPM.

I've just received the quote from LPG. S3 5dr manual 3+23 on 10K per year is £322 maintained or £261 non. All inc
I could save £400 over the term going for the vehicle savers Golf R DSG but I prefer the interior of the S3 and quite fancy getting a new (facelift) model.
LPG? Which broker is this?MullacAbz said:

I spoke with leaseplan go this morning my current Golf r 3dr manual with metallic and 19's is through them on a 3+23 @287inc. The lady I spoke to thought an S3 5dr manual would come in at £20 per month more.
Regarding the Leon vs Golf vs S3 debate...
The Golf r is a cracking car but is seems every low life scum bag out there is trying to Rob them. Just have a search through the forums. I personally have been burgled twice and a close neighbour had his front door kicked in at 6pm on a Saturday evening whilst he was at home by 3 x balaclava'd muskets demanding his keys. Purely for this reason I wouldn't have another!
I am currently signed up for £325 per month on a 3+23 for an S3 S Tronic + Metallic paint on 8k miles and no fees. Sounds more competitive than leaseplan based on those high level figures. Regarding the Leon vs Golf vs S3 debate...

Vehiclesavers just quoted me £268 inc on a 3&23 3dr Golf R, inc DSG, Metallic, Nav & Winter pack.
I have completed paperwork in hand for the Leon, but also spoke to Leaseplan this morning (who I'm currently with) and they say there's a S3 deal due out today..........
I'm getting dangerously close to snoozing & losing
S3, Golf R or Leon. Is there really a bad one there? I think all 3 are fantastic cars.I have completed paperwork in hand for the Leon, but also spoke to Leaseplan this morning (who I'm currently with) and they say there's a S3 deal due out today..........

I've said it before but I tend to think the best way to approach all of this stuff is if you see a deal then go for it. If it's good enough to create a 'buzz' then it's good enough to sign up to. The point of leases are to minimise the endless hassle of car flipping, so why create yourself a new ecosystem of hassle that you don't need.... anyway.

I'll probably get murdered for asking this, but I'm super curious: if there is no deposit and therefore no prior financial commitment, what's to stop the leasee bailing on the deal when the car is built and ready for collection or delivery?
You'll have signed a contract committing you to paying the lease payments, which include the initial. At the very least I'd expect a letter from their legal representatives if you renege on the contract.
Just had the quote back for this offer 1 + 23 £233.99 plus £180 admin fee 5,000 excess 7.2ppm. All inclusive of VAT

I believe the same vehicle from G2L is a better overall deal (albeit with slightly lower miles) https://www.gateway2lease.com/cars/volkswagen/toua...
According to my man-maths spreadsheet, the Toureg R-Line Plus is also ever so slightly cheaper at CVL, approx £20pm less than silverstone. It's also an R-Line Plus for the same sort of deal as the plain R-Lines 3-6 months ago. Bonza!

New here, but recommended as the place to find lease deals. Can anyone with experience tell me what I should expect mpg on Golf R DSG around town?
Seriously!!! How stupid do you need to be to ask a question like that? You are considering taking on a £30,000 credit liability and you are so thick as to need to ask about MPG around town.
Jesus.
30 MPG is that enough.
Can a mod step in and put this thread out of its current misery please.

Whilst the Golf, Leon and Mini deals are really attractive I need to be sensible on running costs - is anyone aware of any equally good deals coming through on the diesels? The Golf Match offer on the 2.0 tdi last month was ok but I'd really want a GTD or equivalent with similar discounts as currently available on the high performance petrol models.

Spoke to CVL regarding the R Estate
Bad News : No option's can be added such as App Connect..
Can confirm this - G2L told me same. They're 2017 model build slots (yay!) but not configurable (boo!)Bad News : No option's can be added such as App Connect..
I would seriously regret not having App Connect, so I didn't bite despite the excellent price
