Why do we persist with posting private lease deals Exc. VAT? It's a bit misleading to some people.
It doesn't look like you have.

Well, if it's a choice between someone taking their time to post an ex VAT deal via a quick copy & paste from a website/email or not posting anything at all, I'll take the ex VAT prices every time.

It's a 20% markup ffs, we should all be able to do that in our head. And if not then you're staring at a computer which has a calculator and/or spreadsheet handy.

The 9+ deal quotes are the kicker; they're very misleading as the actual monthly price is totally different. Why anyone stumps up 9 months is a mystery to me as they don't work out any cheaper - keep the money in your bank.

Sadly not, we have some CLA220d AMG Sport 4Matic S/Brakes in stock but they have a lot of options on them such as Comand online, pan roofs, AMG Exclusive packs and more so we're not comparing like for like.

Funnily enough I prefer the wagons to the 'Coupe' as I think they have a better rear on them biggrin
what are the prices for the ones with a lot of options as that's what im wanting?

do you have any coupes in stock with some options? whats the deal?

That's true, and no problem with deals being posted as long as that's all it is. Problem is that it's not that rare for the personal price to be considerably more than business+VAT, or for the deal to be unavailable to personal users, so it can be slightly frustrating. Still grateful to anyone who takes the time to try and share a decent deal though.

I have a BMW 125d which goes back in March, so looking for something similar (size / price / aesthetics) to replace it with.

Came across a good looking deal on a CLA, works out about the same across the duration, however the deal is for stock vehicles which doesn't really suit me.

https://www.contracthireandleasing.com/car-leasing...

https://www.contracthireandleasing.com/car-leasing...

Anyways the deal is for a Mercedes Benz CLA 220 CDI Auto AMG line Shooting brake. (Shooting brake = estate in normal language)

1st deal is 10k p/a, 2nd is 8k, totaling £6,555 and £6,405 respectively... I would go for 10k based on having 4k extra miles for £150..

Anyways spoke to the broker who has them in stock, but said they do have quite a few extras that will push the price up. As it's too soon for me I didn't find out what the extras were and how much it increased the price by, but chap seemed helpful enough.

Thought I'd post as it may help someone, based on the unwritten golden rule, £6.5k or £33k list price < 20%

Enjoy
Deals are gone now. No doubt another 'mistake' to get you to get in touch. Pricks.

Can I just check - is this a bargain?

Seat Ibiza Sports Coupe
1.8 TSI Cupra

Personal contracts

3+23
£227.96 / month
20k miles
£180 fees
(227.96*26)+180 = £6106.96
33.7% of OTR price

3+23
£195.14 / month
10k miles
£180 fees
(195.94*26)+180 = £5274.44
29.1% of OTR price

(Based on OTR price of £18100: https://web1.seat.co.uk/sites/default/files/MY17bi... )

Not below the 25% mark but looks to be by far(!) the cheapest I can find when compared to others on the website:

Quick look on CarWow has PCP with a 22.2% discount making the OTR price £14,703. Which in turn makes those leases 41.5% or 35.8%.

edit: This is for Cupra Black too which is £800 more.

Sometimes the 9+ deals do yield a better overall cost - sometimes that's even the only format available - I think the only important cost is the total cost over the period - personally I certainly don't want money in the bank considering the very low interest rates.

Hmmm, fair point, maybe not such a bargain against that criterion, then...

Still, it works out only about £30 a month more than a Fiesta ST-Line 140 (coming in at around £200/month for 20k miles a year), which I think makes the Ibiza a bargain in relative terms!

I think its that the realistic cash price of the car is a bit of a bargain. So even a "poor %" lease looks good even though it isn't. But better to pay cash/PCP. Or get a Polo GTi lease

£13,550 from Broadspeed for this one. GFV on a PCP is only £7173, which seems low but then there should be some equity in that. It does do nasty things to the monthlies of course, and the interest rate is quite high.

I'd still think I'd PCP this but it's not as clear cut as it might seem.

?
Every single advert I've ever seen lists the accurate initial (9,6,3,1 etc) and the accurate monthly after that, so don't see what's misleading? I had a C coupe on 9+23 and the monthly payments weren't totally different at all - 287 a month after the first month payment of £2583. Exactly as advertised.

I tried to order a CLA about a month ago from a main Merc dealer. Was told that all build slots are gone until the new year and they had zero in stock.

This was for the coupe though, I think the estate looks like a hearse.

Ended up with an A-Class instead for £100 less a month...

Looks like a cracking deal. I have one (1.4 DSG) at £237 per month on a 3+35 based on 5k miles.
