You only have to read the news headlines of last week to know why we are not seeing deals. 2016 was a record year for new car sales, so there won't be fields of new cars needing shifted at near zero profit.
There must be a shed load of folk that have put off buying in recent years due to economy that are now at the point of the have to change...
The stupid thing is, the huge number of cheap lease deals is why '16 was a record year for car sales. Those numbers are purely vehicles registered, so take into account fleet and lease sales.
Yep was going to say the same thing exactly.
Id expect to see stock clearance leases coming up on cars juat above the 40k bracket in a few months to get them registered before they become harder to shift

Hopefully all the car companies will ramp up production on the back of the good figures, to once again fill the disused airfields and abandoned docks of this fair Isle.
March to June would be my sweet spot, for Early September delivery - if there are any marketing forecast types reading this biggrin
2.5L or larger, petrol capable of 30 to the gallon. 340i touring with a pricing error would be lovely.
The reason for record car sales in 2016 is due to the car companies pretty much forcing the dealers to buy the cars and pre-register them thanks huge sales target bonuses.

that meets the 20% lease to RRP ratio.
It is quiet, but I wouldn't use the 20% as a hard and fast rule, more a guide. If a car you want is 21% is it a bad deal? Probably not.

Surely a good lease deal is when it works out cheaper to lease the car over the term than any other way of financing it, whatever the %?

Yep, but 20% is not the only factor in that is it? The type of car, availability, finance offer, PX, residual value, ease of deal etc. all have an impact on actual and perceived value of one deal vs. another.

BMW GB registered thousands of cars to themselves last year as demo and staff cars, let alone what they forced the dealer network to do

Are these the Alphabet cars?
What's the Merc figures ( as a % age of BMWs if you like - just for balance biggrin)

And would this hint that there may be more second hand deals than Lease deals this year?

In need of some advice,

My Yeti L&K is coming at the end of the month so I need to start looking at insurance. Specifially GAP insurance. Basically i have no idea how it all works. GAP insurance is a separate policy from normal car insurance isn't it?

I have heard ALA are very good, is this still the case?

Cheers all.

Try pantheon leasing. They sorted my c63 and were easy to deal with

Hi Guys,

Long shot I know...but can anyone suggest where I could find a stock S4/RS4 avant or c63/c43 on lease?
Required in the next 2/3 weeks.

Thanks in advance,

Sam

No, these are cars registered to BMW GB. I'll dig them out tomorrow as they're on my work laptop. I heard they were changing company cars earlier as well to get more registrations. They HAD to be number 1 in their centenary year in as many markets as possible

For your perusal - something I think may meet the sub 20% RRP from BMW. The run out F10 530d Msport Auto 9+23 8kpa

https://www.contracthireandleasing.com/car-leasing...

All in £8282 - can't find old F10 saloon pricing any more. Not your 4 cylinder repmobile but straight 6 goodness.

There's a 6+23 profile as well which comes out at a wallet busting £37 more over the term:

Well ordered mine today on a 6+23 15,000 mile contract, they only have black and black leather. Matt from 1st choice vehicle contracts was very helpful and efficient.

2014.38 inc Vat
335.73 inc Vat (23 rentals)
11.21 inc Vat pence per mile

Going to order a Tiguan SEL 2.0TDi 150 FWD manual tomorrow, in Urano

Standard spec is excellent so very happy to have found a deal

Got two dealers offering the same

£2149 down
23 x £238.80
8k per year

The XC60 SE Nav I almost got was £2500 down and £223 x 23

IMO the Tiguan is miles ahead in tech and looks. Don't need 4wd or a powerful engine anymore, so I'm happy!

Christ, just shows how crap some dealers are and how good some are.

My dealer quoted me £408 on a 6+23 on the DSG version of yours.

Any chance of naming the good dealers?

Am thinking about chopping my 2013 520d msport for one of these.

If that is carbon black it is actually a very dark metallic blue.......

Have you been in contact with the right Volvo dealers?

Volvo XC60 Diesel Estate D4 [190] SE Nav 5dr [Leather]
£219/month
6+23 term
8k pa

http://www.whatcar.com/car-leasing/deals/volvo/xc6...

Your Tiguan deal is £7641 with solid paint. XC60 is £6365 and includes metallic paint. Both same mileage and same lease duration. The Tiguan may have a little more kit, but is it worth £1300 extra?

The solid paint is the Mrs' favourite, so that's a winner, and yes definitely worth the £1300 extra. The XC60 is a 9 year old design
