You only have to read the news headlines of last week to know why we are not seeing deals. 2016 was a record year for new car sales, so there won't be fields of new cars needing shifted at near zero profit.
There must be a shed load of folk that have put off buying in recent years due to economy that are now at the point of the have to change...
The stupid thing is, the huge number of cheap lease deals is why '16 was a record year for car sales. Those numbers are purely vehicles registered, so take into account fleet and lease sales. There must be a shed load of folk that have put off buying in recent years due to economy that are now at the point of the have to change...
Id expect to see stock clearance leases coming up on cars juat above the 40k bracket in a few months to get them registered before they become harder to shift

March to June would be my sweet spot, for Early September delivery - if there are any marketing forecast types reading this
2.5L or larger, petrol capable of 30 to the gallon. 340i touring with a pricing error would be lovely.

that meets the 20% lease to RRP ratio.
It is quiet, but I wouldn't use the 20% as a hard and fast rule, more a guide. If a car you want is 21% is it a bad deal? Probably not. Emeye said:
Surely a good lease deal is when it works out cheaper to lease the car over the term than any other way of financing it, whatever the %?
Yep, but 20% is not the only factor in that is it? The type of car, availability, finance offer, PX, residual value, ease of deal etc. all have an impact on actual and perceived value of one deal vs. another. Emeye said:

BMW GB registered thousands of cars to themselves last year as demo and staff cars, let alone what they forced the dealer network to do
Are these the Alphabet cars? What's the Merc figures ( as a % age of BMWs if you like - just for balance )
And would this hint that there may be more second hand deals than Lease deals this year?
In need of some advice,
My Yeti L&K is coming at the end of the month so I need to start looking at insurance. Specifially GAP insurance. Basically i have no idea how it all works. GAP insurance is a separate policy from normal car insurance isn't it?
I have heard ALA are very good, is this still the case?
Cheers all.

My dealer quoted me £408 on a 6+23 on the DSG version of yours.
Any chance of naming the good dealers?

Your Tiguan deal is £7641 with solid paint. XC60 is £6365 and includes metallic paint. Both same mileage and same lease duration. The Tiguan may have a little more kit, but is it worth £1300 extra?

The solid paint is the Mrs' favourite, so that's a winner, and yes definitely worth the £1300 extra. The XC60 is a 9 year old designVolvo XC60 Diesel Estate D4 [190] SE Nav 5dr [Leather]
