Are there going to be new 3 and 4 series lease deals?

I just got an e-mail from Cooper BMW offering £399 down and £399 a month on 320d MSport (over 4 years)... deals include fairly big dealer and BMW finance deposit contributions.
I think thats poor, and 4y is a long time too as youll be paying for tyres and servicing on top of the lease costs

My 335d Touring is on a 2y lease and even allowing for the tax changes changing it for another brand new one at 2y will cost less than your deal in total over 4y
And thats before the above mentioned tyres, servicing and any out of warranty funny business in Y4

My deal was 6*23 and was representative of last summer
The good ones are now 9*23 reflecting the tax - probably

Cheers

I inquired about a R line Touareg via Uchoose.
For some reason I failed the credit check, very odd.
I've been leasing for the past 6 years too.
This is my first lease deal I've went for so will let you know how I get on.
I'm not expecting any issues as I've never had any credit problems before.
Nor have I.

I'm fairly certain the OP has not taken out this deal and has only referenced it due to the BMW deposit contributions, does not seem a good deal to me either though all the relevant details are not there.

What about the badge?
Anyone considered the Kia Niro instead?
I test drive the ioniq today. Impressed with the toys but totally gutless to drive unless in sport I was left disappointed to be honest maybe I expected too much thought the auto box was also very laggy. I was not bothered by the badge at all though I do drive a skoda! I popped into Kia but they did not have a niro on display might give it a test drive even though essentially it's the same car as the ioniq.

£2400 deposit though. Even so, with 9+23, it's not too bad. What it's like to drive with the small engine, however, I don't know. Autocar rates it ok tho.
The Ateca got absolutely slaughtered by Clarkson last week.

The boot in an Ateca is much bigger than a Leon though (510 vs 380 litres). Deeper too. Similarly Tiguan vs Golf (520/615 with seats forward vs 380) ..

If that's a problem they do make Leon and Golf estates though

As much as he is a two hat, he makes a valid point. Been car shopping with missus and all these SUV's (Q3-5, Tiguan, Ateca etc etc) are utterly pointless and impractical for a family. We concluded that we are much better off with anestate, you can actually fit things in the boot, they are better on fuel and ride along much more nicely.

Missus is sold an a Golf R Estate, works for me biggrin

Did they then say "...but we should be able to find you something else"? It's Friday and it's been a long week so I may be being overly cynical but it could be that they were offering you something that they then found they couldn't deliver.

Haven't read the review, but the problem with all of these SUV crossovers, is that if it's FWD only then it's understeer city and poor traction. The weight and high centre of gravity make the handling awful, 4wd helps but not massively if there isn't enough power. We had a 1.5d Qashqai and it was a lovely little car but it had no power and there was a frankly dangerous flatspot in the power delivery if you got it wrong pulling out of junctions. On top of that as soon as there was a sprinkle of wet stuff you had to slow to a crawl round bends, let alone roundabouts and corners, awful handling.

The Qashqai is in a class of its own when it comes to cornering, and not in a good way.

Just Squeezed The Tube on a Passat R Line Estate with DSG for an amortised £317 at 10kpa on a 36 month deal.

Its about 35% of RRP so not the worst or the best but a good mile muncher for daily duties with ergo seats, Adaptive CC, digital dash and a pan roof and less than my post-tax car allowance by a decent chunk. Apparently there was a 100 car campaign on Passat R Lines this week from VWFS which I got wind of on WhatCar Leasing. I got one of the last ones when someone else failed to progress on finance.

Was through Uchoose who are coincidentally my local VW dealer. Dead easy to deal with. I dealt with Matt.
