The Qashqai is in a class of its own when it comes to cornering, and not in a good way.
I know that now...wifey still likes the high driving position so she swapped for an x-trail, old boxy one, which she prefers over the recent Qashqai+2 copy/paste replacement. Might be wallowy but it is predictable in wet conditions. Thankfully, I have a Golf R on lease at the moment so I only have to drive it occasionally.

Just Squeezed The Tube on a Passat R Line Estate with DSG for an amortised £317 at 10kpa on a 36 month deal.

Its about 35% of RRP so not the worst or the best but a good mile muncher for daily duties with ergo seats, Adaptive CC, digital dash and a pan roof and less than my post-tax car allowance by a decent chunk. Apparently there was a 100 car campaign on Passat R Lines this week from VWFS which I got wind of on WhatCar Leasing. I got one of the last ones when someone else failed to progress on finance.

Was through Uchoose who are coincidentally my local VW dealer. Dead easy to deal with. I dealt with Matt.

You sound in a similar position to me. I have to opt out the company car scheme as they are scrapping it but I am worried as I do around 20k miles a year and worried it will cost a fortune.

My mileage varies widely so I wanted a 10k deal to start and then a decent ppm after that. I've had a painful time running a 2008 BMW - both financially and with lack of availability due to it needing work - over the past year so I've given up on the idea of 'run something older and pocket the allowance'. It is all about convenience for the work car!

As much as he is a two hat, he makes a valid point. Been car shopping with missus and all these SUV's (Q3-5, Tiguan, Ateca etc etc) are utterly pointless and impractical for a family. We concluded that we are much better off with an estate, you can actually fit things in the boot, they are better on fuel and ride along much more nicely.
As a family we find exactly the opposite, by quite a stretch. Much prefer the ride of the taller sidewalls (not to mention kerb protection), the higher driving position and visibility in a shorter (easier to park) yet as roomy package. Residuals seem better which is reflected in lower lease cost which offset the small mpg delta.

£147 inc tax? What mileage? Have they given you a delivery expectation yet?

Does anyone know of any decent deals on a vehicle that's in stock somewhere? My wife is needing a car since we sold the Abarth. Ideally within 3 weeks max. I'm basically wanting someone to suggest something so that we don't end up with the Corsa that's on Nationwide. Criteria is under £175 p/m 3+ or 6+. I've trawled most obvious places, but I know that some of you receive the daily stock updates and stuff. Many thanks!

A 1.0 in a car the size of ateca (it's much bigger than it looks in pictures) just screams nightmare to me.

Depends what car you want.

That fiesta I got is on a 36 mnth 1+35.

Their headline is a 3+35 at £780 deposit and £130 a month.

https://www.firstvehicleleasing.co.uk/car-leasing/...

They are in stock although they only have metallic colours so add about 4 quid a month amortised.

There are also lots of other cars if you don't fancy the Fez. I've been speaking to a few brokers over the last few weeks and they seemed the most keen to want to do business and haven't (thus far) lied about stock or delivery date...

Any more information? Mileage? Inc VAT? And more importantly, where from please?

I hope not. Wouldn't say that's a particularly hot deal.

£377/month amortized +£360 fees! For 10k/3yr

The cynic in me says that it won't get much better than this...

Even worse it's 3 years. Don't think we'll see the £250 amortised 10k p/a golf R deals again, but surely we can get better than that? Although I think VW will be taking a hit as the golf R residuals aren't quite what they were hoping for with the return of all the leases.

The Touareg has been around for a while has it been facelifted or updated, dont see it mentioned much on here
I've got an R Line + on order from UChoose. All been quite straightforward so far.

It'll be my first departure from BMW for a few years now. I've currently got a 2016 335D X-Drive (12 month lease heavily discounted) which has probably been the best all rounder (and quickest!) car I've had, but the wife really fancy's an SUV next and the Touareg looks a great option at for just a smidge more than I'm paying at the moment.

We managed to get one from a local dealer for a test drive first, really liked it. Great premium feel. Well equipped. Plenty of power in the 262bhp, auto box nice and responsive too. Only negative in my eyes really is the Sat Nav / Smart phone intergration etc. is going to be feel a bit basic after having the latest iDrive with Harmon Kardon.

The 3 Series interior actually felt a bit less special when I got back in it.

All the reviews I can find point towards it being a great SUV, on and off road. I've personally always thought it was one of the better looking SUV's too.

It was facelifted in 2015 and there's a new one due late 2017 / early 2018 I believe.

Spotted the following on hukd:

'Just been into my local Nissan branch (Wakefield) to test drive the Leaf Teckna and see if they would price match a deal that another HOT UKer has got - they've beaten it by so much! What I have got is the following:

Nissan Leaf Teckna
Non metallic
PCP lease over 2 years
8000 miles
1 year insurance
2 years servicing
2 years GAP insurance
2 years SMART insurance (repairs 30cm long, 3mm deep scratches on all panels for a £10 call out fee)
Scotchguarded fabrics
Free home charging point plus rapid charge
£199 deposit, then £198 a month for 2 years.

This is the top spec model with leather interior, extra mileage capacity, DAB, sat nav, Bluetooth, 360 degree parking cameras etc

Due for delivery 24.03.2017'

Seems like an unbelievably good deal considering it includes insurance for a year, servicing etc.

Although the op's written 'PCP lease', it does look like a pcp deal rather than a pch. Yes, I know I've posted it on the lease thread, but I don't care...I'll take the flak for that.

I test drive the ioniq today. Impressed with the toys but totally gutless to drive unless in sport I was left disappointed to be honest maybe I expected too much thought the auto box was also very laggy. I was not bothered by the badge at all though I do drive a skoda! I popped into Kia but they did not have a niro on display might give it a test drive even though essentially it's the same car as the ioniq.
If you didn't know already, the Ioniq/Niro has a two-stage accelerator pedal, so to get proper performance you need to push beyond the first point of resistance in the travel.

If you do that, the car performance is fine for the type of car it is.

I have driven the Niro and found the auto box very smooth (aside from if you were waiting for it to kick down). It is not a car that is intended to be driven hard, but it is a car that is very easy to drive smoothly.

I drove the hybrid for an hour and its a great car, smooth, quiet (unless pushed) and easy to drive - its not an AMG merc - its a great commuter / town car that is capable of longer journeys if required

According to the comments it's the 30kw one. Don't know about the battery lease, but the way the op's commented strongly suggests it's £199 per month all-in on a 24 month term. I have my doubts as it does seem too good to be true especially with it being the Tekna. Looks to be be dealer specific, perhaps hoping to hit Q1 targets?

Sounds the same as the PCP deal that's been floating around which had been posted here several times recently. 199 deposit and 199 a month. Big balloon, but fk the balloon right?
