It's too late to ask for opinions, you've signed the deal, just enjoy the car when it arrives.
True.. I can still cancel though as it's not too late, I'm just unsure if I should have waited 2-3 more months and got one with a few extras on.. Flat bottom steering wheel and VC. But I needed the car soon as really as my current lease ends on 1st April. Thats the main reason I went for it.. Now I'm in two minds 🙈

I think its a decent deal, one of the only good ones on something desirable at least. I would certainly hope to pick up something like that once my golf R estate goes back.

Can anyone recommend a lease hire company which is cheap for Mercedes (C class Amg line)? I'm about to have a ring round based on a Contract Hire & Leasing search but a heads up would be much appreciated?!!

Arval lease return:

Just some information for those worried about returning a lease car. My car was returned last Friday, the inspector took ~30 photos detailing the general condition and specific areas of damage (chips, scratches, curbed alloys). His job is just to document all wear and tear. An email of his report was instantly sent to me. Another assessor back and base makes the "fair wear and tear" assessment. Yesterday I received an invoice for excess wear and tear. It was all very clearly detailed and reasonable. Most chips/scratches were deemed fair wear and tear, the alloys x3 were £60 and one scratch £80. No excess was charged for the 400miles over allowance, nor the 4th alloy that was curbed. All very reasonable in my eyes.
I have a car going back to Hitachi on Friday, so I will post my findings too. I know I have 3 alloys with light curbing over the free size, a small tear on the boot side of the back seat, also 1700 miles over.
Not wishing to concern you but I'd suggest being VERY diligent with Hitachi. We have an ongoing dispute with them that has gone to the ombudsman regarding damage that they caused during transit and then charged us for, and also corrosion to 2 x alloys (corrosion was their choice of word) which again, we were charged for despite notifying them in advance of vehicle return (and the fact that corrosion is covered under vehicle warranty).

Thank you very much for this.

I have an A6 going back this year with kerbed alloys, likely overmileage, a few scratches and a chipped windscreen. Was tempted to get the alloys done and the windscreen which will cost about £60 a wheel and £70 for the windscreen.

Share the secret then, where is it from?

Personally I would probably pay the £1500-2000 extra for a Golf R but horses for courses.

Although when I called them they didn't have a clue, so probably a mistake.

Same here - something cheap and nasty about the Focus interior. Not a pleasant place to spend time by any means.

Not to mention the 50hp and 4wd. Having said that, the Golf R leases are only £2500 less than an S5, and I think we both know what happened there...

I am very keen to see what you report back with as I have a car going back to Hitachi in June
I have returned 3 lease cars (Mercedes & 2 VW's) to date and never had any issues. The latest report had the car as 'good condition'. There were no curb marks on the alloys but there was general 'wear and tear' such as chips in the paint work etc. I was slightly concerned about this process the first time it came round however I now realise as long as the car has no obvious / clear damage then you are fine.

My first lease has been a diesel ST3 and I have to say it's been brilliant. And it I've found the cabin to be a very nice place to spend 24 months of driving indeed 😀

That would be without VAT. They have all been around £11200-£11500 over the term.

Yes your correct, its only leased my MB through contract cars and an email popped up the other day with the above deal, but they want £500 for their services.

Still good deal, lot of car
