Best Lease Car Deals Available? (Vol 3)

Still find it amazing that they charge £30/m extra (£720 over the term) for another 3000 miles when even at the 10.8ppm rate those 3000 extra miles will only cost £324 at the end and it's most likely you'll be able to call VWFS and up the mileage for far less ppm.
It's extra 3K per year. Edited by Sheepshanks on Thursday 25th August 14:31

That's a good deal, have you progressed with this? Do you know what the excess mileage fee is, I assume its the same 7.2ppm
Yes does look good, I've submitted an enquiry.https://lease4less.org.uk/car-leasing/seat-leasing...

It's extra 3K per year.So the comparison is against an excess charge for 6000 miles - £648.
I think you just used £30 as a round amount too, plus those deals have the same up front payment so the monthly is the only variable, so it's a lower number than you used and you only multiply it by 23.
It's still marginal though and it would be bonkers to go for higher mileage if you weren't sure you were going to do - although some people would prefer to spread the cost and not be hit by the lump at the end.

Not bad. Although the KX-1 is a tad povvo, any PHer will want the KX-2 I'd have thought, even for the missus. A bit like the new Tiguans, you probably want the SEL rather than the SE...
Cheaper here though, I think, metallic included, unsure on any additional admin fee. http://www.whatcar.com/car-leasing/car-leasing/dea...
£871.34 initial + 23 x £145.22 (Inc VAT) 8000pa

The 8k have 2k/year added, so 4k extra over the 2 year term.
Did you do that on purpose? RandomTask said:

If you get an 8K miles contract it's 8K per year, so 6000 miles more in total than a 5K/yr contract.

Looking at the 1+23 deals it was generally around £30 dearer for the 8k option. So it's still around £70 cheaper over the term to go for the 5k plus the end payment, even if you don't get the cheaper ppm rate that people seem to be getting when calling and extending half way through.

Since when did lease companies start doing 1+23 profiles? Never seen that before apart from on the recent pages on here for the Polo GTI, Golf GTI/R, Leon Cupra etc.
My experience is they will do whatever you ask for (on the phone), yes they advertise 6+ or 9+ as common variables. They've always quoted me whatever, 1,2,4,5,10+ etc or fixed up front. It's only a finance calculation in the end.

Also 6+23 or 9+23 look cheaper until you look at the details.Am tempted by the new vw golf r estate lease deal - see tonnes of hatchback - no estates round my way. I would keep it as cheap as possible - not even upgrade to leather etc - the car will go back to vw so why pay the options on top over 24 months - always seems daft to me. If it was a four year deal fair enough!

The 6 and 9 options are pretty much always cheaper than the 1+23 options over the term, but it's not by much. £50-100 in some cases.Am tempted by the new vw golf r estate lease deal - see tonnes of hatchback - no estates round my way. I enquired on this and have had a response that the rates they advertised are now 'not achievable due to the volume of orders being processed'- i.e. residuals taking a hit due to the numbers of Rs that will be on the used market in 2 years time- this kind of backs up the discussion above. Anyways they have quoted £30-£40 on top of the advertised rates, putting a grand on the full cost, making it nowhere near the attractive deal it was I did get offered the Cupra Black as an alternative (... do they have in exhaustible supply of these somewhere?). loudlashadjuster said:

Soooo much car for the money, further research confirms that a tow bar is not Type Approved for the Rs, even the estates, (why on a load lugger car ) so it's a non starter in any case. Also a Golf R estate at about the prevailing rate
