Hi all,
I have been looking at deals for Mercedes E class Convertible on personal lease for end of December delivery. As the new model is due to be released sometime in 2017 would you recommend hanging on for a couple of months to see how the prices go? Anyone found any recent deals recently?
E Class Diesel Cabriolet
E220d AMG Line Edition Premium 2dr 7G-Tronic
2 door, Diesel, Automatic
I have seen anywhere from £421 per month at luxury leasing (36, +9 10k) to £525 (same) per month however still trying to benchmark what is a good deal.
Any help massively appreciated. Cheers all!

Two things, firstly those prices sound high, I paid £401 a month plus 9 months down for the same mileage and would expect to do better.
Second, if you can get the E250. The 220 is the same engine but single turbo, it's not a nice version at all.
Try freedom contracts or Applied Leasing, both will beat that price.
Just looked at Freedom and they are quoting £363.59 inc vat (9 months down) for personal 10k pa

Production ends in October and MB are pretty good at not having too many old model cars around when a new model comes out. So I wouldn't expect a knock your socks off deal at the end of the year unless there's still a fair few units knocking around

The E250d was dropped a little while ago, only the E220d and E350d are available in the oil burner side of things. I don't think the 220d is a bad engine really.

I didn't realise the 250 had been discontinued. I found the 220 a bit under powered (and I'm not a fast driver) whereas I had a ML 250 and found the engine a lot smoother and pokier.Production ends in October and MB are pretty good at not having too many old model cars around when a new model comes out. I'm holding out for a new model cabrio next year, £400 wasn't bad it's quite a car.

The 220 is ok, it's no ball of fire though. The new 220d engine is very nice, I'll have a cab next year as I won't need the boot space for a pushchair. The new E Coupe looks really nice in the flesh tooI'm holding out for a new model cabrio next year, £400 wasn't bad it's quite a car.

Considering a personal lease for the wife.
£1500 down and £200 a month (inc VAT) would be fine.
Only does 5,000 miles pa.
Doesn't need to be maintained.
Would prefer something not terribly slow as coming from a 235bhp Alfa!
She would prefer something German and it would need to be not too big but big enough to have 2 x kiddy seats in the back.
I guess that means a Golf or A3? What are the best deals?
Seat Leon Cupra Black is circa £6k total. £1500 down and £200 a month (inc VAT) would be fine.

Ordered a 5dr hatch with metallic paint & 10k pa for £249 inc VAT on 1+23 from IMG Seat Warrington (think they would be willing to do different profiles as well e.g. 3+23, 6+23 etc).

Fast Bug mentioned it, but it's worth stressing that it's a completely new 4cyl 2 litre engine in the new E Class.Sheepshanks said:

I'll speak to product marketing tomorrow and see what I can find out. I'm out of the office all day today with a customer
I have a C250d coupe on a good deal when they were being run down for the new C Class Coupe. I'd been hoping similar deals would be around for the E coupe as it approached replacement - as there were for both Saloon and Estate but nothing has yet looked attractive.
Current deal ends in Dec...and favourite to replace is a 430i Gran Coupe

The E Coupe and Cab have the old 2.1 engine in at the moment. The new 2.0 engine is only is the new E Saloon and Estate at present.
Right - but he said he was holding out for the new cabriolet next year. When you mentioned "the new 220d engine is very nice", which engine were you referring to? The old 2.1 or the new 2.0?

Nationwide vehicle contracts are doing a deal on the Seat Leon SC FR 1.4 EcoTSI Titanium:
3x23 - £180 p/m
8000 miles
Is this good value compared to the CUPRA deals? Might be more appealing for insurance/fuel.
Not a Cupra deal and maybe too small for you but 3+23 136.1 inc VAT for a Fiesta ST Line 140 ecoboost from fleetprices.co.uk3x23 - £180 p/m
8000 miles
Is this good value compared to the CUPRA deals? Might be more appealing for insurance/fuel.

I think this is a cracking deal personally, I see you also get met paint, convenience pack plus and full link with it so with the standard equipment and these extra bits it looks great value. Ultimately the Cupra deals are the best for what you get but this deal is a good alternative for those who want lower fuel and insurance costs 3x23 - £180 p/m
